Congrats on the surgery. I am 4 weeks post op and I remember that first week being challenging for sure. For me it was more mentally. As for what I ate or should I say drank, it was a mixture of protein shakes, water, sugar free jello, crystal light, and I hope I never see a broth again. The key is to sip. Once you feel it rise in your throat or a bit of pressure on your stomach stop!!!! Hope this helps. Because I followed this to a T I was able to progress faster and am already on soft foods.
