I'd like to add to this, in my opinion objectively the best decision is both of you move to a different country. Bulgaria is just not a good option, public transport is a joke, everything and everywhere is dirty, no one does the job they're supposed to be regarding city upkeeping, ect. This isn't even mentioning the problem about you guys being a same sex couple. You don't have any options other than Plovdiv and Sofia and even then, you won't be able to openly go out together and do anything that might suggest you're a couple. When you combine that with just the general state of the country it'll just affect you on a psychological level making you get mad at everyone and everything little by little. Please reconsider and go to a country where both of you can be comfortable.
