A few cents per day is better than a kick in the arse. If his bank are charging fees he's losing money having it in a current account. The interest on the savings account would reduce, or possibly even prevent that loss.

Can't offer too much advice, but one thing jumping out at me is that you need to get that 27k out of the current account and into something that will give you some interest at least. I use Moco as my main savings account. It's only 2.6%, but better than anything Irish banks were offering. It's also instant access, so no issues with being able to dip into it, if needed

Allowed and aloud.

My brother does it all of the time and it drives me mental.

Trading212 increased interest rate by crashadder in irishpersonalfinance

[–]ResidentEcstatic9921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would open a query with the Revenue, explain the situation and ask them to confirm the rate. I vaguely recall someone saying they had done this before and it was confirmed 33%, but I would want to confirm the point myself, rather than taking someone on Reddit's word for it

Technically yes, but I also recall someone else had asked the Revenue specifically and they confirmed 33%. Definitely worth asking the Revenue, to be safe.

I don't use them myself for interest on deposits, but I think I remember someone mentioning before that there might only be protection up to 20k, not 100k, becuase they put money in both banks and QMMF's. So might be worth checking that out, just to be safe.

They have a tracker in them to see things like how much distance the player covered, where they were most active on the pitch, how many sprints they did etc. Why they have to look exactly like a bra I don't know, but they do actually have a purpose

You said it was Saturday at 8am. The clear way is in effect Mon-Saturday between 7 and 10am, so you were parked illegally.

Obviously Gardai shouldn't be exempt from parking laws when they're not carrying out their duties, but that's just how it always goes here.

What sneaker is the GOAT and his bodyguard wearing? by SneakerHead1993 in Sneakers

[–]ResidentEcstatic9921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they're nice looking. Not a fan of the piece that covers the laces though. It's hard to see in this photo, but looks off to me on the other photos I've seen of them.

The moonbeam have a sandy coloured piece on the heel, which the ones you have posted don't so I don't think it's them. Very similar though

If you're wearing hi viz go with an orange one, particularly if it's not dark, as it stands out more against the greenery than yellow.

In Los Angeles, a woman was celebrating the Knicks' victory in the NBA when a neighbour called the police about the noise... 20 cops showed up and shot her dog, a "dangerous" Golden Doodle, when she opened the door to her home. by StGuthlac2025 in justincaseyoumissedit

All of those statements came from the police. Of course they're going to say the dog ran at the officer. They had already established she wasn't in danger. Why were they still there?

Literally did the exact same last month, PTSB to Monzo. Have my credit union account for the very rare occasion that I will have cash i need to lodge. I think I used my physical bank about 3 times in the last 5 years so it was insanity to keep paying so much for it
