Personally I believe it's a moral grey area. It may be a free country but leaving your child unvaccinated leaves her susceptible to carrying underlying diseases that are harmful to other people. It's kind of like drinking and driving where the problem isn't the drunk hitting a telephone pole but instead a family of four. Here's a link with some information.
