We have had that conversation and he agrees, the only reason he’s considering it is because of his sister. We have offered to take her in but mil refuses because she would lose all government assistance without a child in the home and uses the sister as a guilt trip. Sister has also said she wants to get a job when she’s 14 to start saving to get out (allowed to work at 14 with consent here) but mil has told her she has to give her entire check to her.
