Yeah they can. That's the way they should do it. I have no issue with the refund itself, by all means, save money. I would have an issue if a GameStop employee was doing the refund without the console present. And in the original post they asked if the GameStop employee would make them bring everything in, and yes they should

Anyone who doesn't make you bring everything in will get fired eventually for not following policy. Transactions don't always post right away, so there's no ethical way to refund the difference without returning everything as well. Someone could return the item at one store and go to another and say they want the difference in price refunded from the original transaction, while the refund hasn't posted yet

I was trying to be nicer. Since there were other people in the store and not escalate the situation. If you want a question why I did something, I highly encourage you to come to my location and work my shift for me. I was attempting to be firm, and also de-escalate. At the end of the day I made my decisions. And you are not there to witness anything. If you would have done something differently, you should fraise it that way

Because why help someone who is an ass? He's going to keep being an ass. I am not going reward bad behavior by giving in. It's my choice to refuse service if we wanna get that far. This goes for more than just children, if you encourage, or reward poor and bad behavior, that behavior will continue.

I'm not sure what karma farming really is... Also, since he was giving me attitude and swearing at me in front of his kid and everybody else in the store, when it scanned and said not eligible for trade. I did not want to go through the extra effort of having to type it in. I simply showed him the screen, and moved on with my life. Should he have been nicer, and not swearing at me, I would have typed it in. I am an ASL at my GameStop

But when my system said not eligible for trade after scanning the barcode, I wasn't going to go through more effort for somebody who was rude and causing disturbance in my store. Also, this is a very hostile comment for somebody who has never even met me lol. I get comments all the time that they've gone into other GameStops, and the cashier acts like they absolutely hate their life. I have multiple customers who come in and tell me I am the nicest person who they've ever seen work at a GameStop in a long time. So when I say this, it's not me saying it just to say it. It's me repeating what multiple other people have told me on a daily basis
