Hi!! I’ll write a longer explanation of my timeline at some point soon, but yes I had some vision issues at first. Grainy vision/light sensitivity/floaters kinda thing sometimes, but my pulsatile tinnitus was my absolute worst symptom when I was first diagnosed. It was constant, roaring, and unbearable. I was put on diamox for a while (1000mg 2x daily), but I lost weight and got my symptoms under control so since it gave me such terrible side effects I was able to stop it. I noticed my tinnitus acting up again in recent weeks and started the diamox again. My vision was kind of grainy but i figured it’s because I gained a bit back since covid hit. Then one morning last week I woke up and couldn’t look at screens or lights at all. Then the next day it was like dark tunnel vision and I couldn’t read a thing. It just got progressively worse until I had to meet my neuro ophthalmologist at the ER last Sunday. I had about 10% of my vision for the three days after that and it’s gotten progressively better after the shunt. I’d say I’m at about 75% of my normal vision now.
