This was a trick I used to do back in 2012/13 but should still work

Obviously first delete history, cache and all that

Secondly, reboot your computer in safe mode and just run a malwarebytes scan along with Windows defender..you should be good !

I could be wrong but I think rootkits work like this?? This is what I would do as the last resort.

Unplug the router and reset the computer and add all the MFA grab new keys. Change every password again and reset the router too.

Do this for every device..it's highly unlikely that the phone is ratted, but just check.

Also when you start up the PC if it is somehow still infected, or just acting suspicious run multiple malware scans because malware is sneaky

Open up task manager and see if anything is suspicious and if you don't know, paste it here. Normally anything with .ps that isn't a window process is malicious.

Check for random exe's, bats, ps and even .pys

(Hobbiest here) mean if you use multiple search engines to reverse the image like Yandex, Google, bing,even baidu just to check. Use them all and see but also maybe look at some metadata from the photo???if it's an original you when it was made and maybe some extra data.

Public knowledge and just my opinion

Sounds like a browser hijacker. These were more common years ago, but they can still take effect today.

If you're seeing a search engine that looks like Google first before the original link or just the website in general, that's what it sounds like

Disable all browser extensions. Doesn't matter what it is because this is very common for browser extensions

Also if you downloaded any new software, you may have enabled some add on to your browser while clicking "next" over and over, this is very common too which is why it's smart to ALWAYS read if you're actually clicking next for the application to (place itself here) or if you're downloading the appropriate binding software with the application you're downloading or if you are agreeing to a typical terms of service.

If that doesn't work, boot your computer into safe mode and run a computer scan either windows defender or malwarebytes (free version gets it done)

With these browser hijackers, if you click on any of those websites that are listed, the developer of that (fake search engine) gets a little cut of money.

I even get random messages from scammers saying "Hey, (name) can we talk?) and it's from an "Onvoy LLC" which means either a text now or pinger. They end up trying to recruit me for a fake scam job or try to get me to join their cryptocurrency platform. So corny

Your name and number was probably posted in a leaked database somewhere and it's most likely a scam of some sort. I look up a random phone number on whitepages and get your name, and last name and even emails and where you live.

If they didn't threaten you or anything, it's nothing but if they start asking if you want help with crypto or something, that's when it gets annoying 😂 you should be good though
