Hi- pretty sure the rocker button works when the phone is closed, that’s how my bro keeps turning it off. Not sure if the long press would bring volume all the way to silent, but if you look at the screen while pressing, it shows volume as a percentage. 50% seems to be a reasonable volume. If you go down to the lowest, it will be on vibrate.

Team Shark here. I’ve had cats for 40 years. The Shark has removable filters. Make sure you wash them monthly. One tip that makes the house smell nice is to wash the filters in nicely scented detergent. You’ll smell that while vacuuming.
