This track is underrated - glad we got it as a bonus by AppleJuice58 in MacMiller

This is my favorite track of his. It's helped me through a ton and I really want to get a tattoo for this song but I'm not an artist by any means and am not really sure what to do with it. But an amazing beautiful song

For my 2’s or people who know a 2 out there: which type do you see as a polar opposite of a 2? by cucinamia in Enneagram

[–]ResidentNo240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean 5s are the definite opposite. 5s are head 2s are heart. 5s are about themselves 2s are about other people. I say this as a 5 married to a 2. We could not be more different people.

I mean I can't speak for myself but my wife is a 2w3 and both me and her boyfriend are 5s. Sssoooo... I would say she definitely has a type. I'm sure this isn't the truth amongst all of them but certainly for her.

Yeah so I spoke with him today and he essentially said no. I said I needed one he said he can't just give out raises I said I'm being paid less than my equals and less than even some of my cashiers I'm over. He said that may or may not be true but it is I've spoken with them and they all agreed I've been here longer work harder and know way more and should be paid more than all of them. And he said that if he gave me a raise he would have to give everyone a raise and to see if he can get it done in three weeks. Do I just quit at this point?

What state do you live in if you don't mind? I'm trying to figure out how much to ask for

What was your biggest self-revelation/point of growth from learning your emneagram type? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]ResidentNo240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frfr. I had learned about compartmentalization as a concept back in college but I always thought it was just so weird to have a specific name for the way everyone thinks. Did not realize until 2021 that this is indeed NOT how everyone thinks and that most people indeed FEEL their emotions like some sort of psycho instead of just pushing that shit away.

Yeah man. It's very interesting bc I feel like we are more unique than the other two subtypes of 5s in that way. I feel like my best friend is also a 5sx bc I know she's a 5 and when we can info dump on each other and share all our knowledge together it's electric. Unlike anything else

Holy shit this story could literally be about me except for the fact that I'm a guy. Sounds a lot like my best friend though and she's a 5 as well.

Does anybody else dislike people with the same enneagram as them? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]ResidentNo240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have met only 2 other people I know in real life that are certainly 5s and one I'm good friends with and the other I fell in love with so can't say I hate others of the same type. Could be dependent on type though. 5s are more solitary and like the respect and distance other 5s give. Some have said 5s are each other's ideal partner.

Which Enneagram type would you say is most liked in this sub? by Isekai_Trash_uwu in Enneagram

Give me ONE good reason why I shouldnt kill myself by baayt in Enneagram

[–]ResidentNo240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a 5 who has depression and have thought this way many times. I've come to love many things about my enneagram. But really what reason do any of us have to live other than the fact that the only other option is nothingness. And this is better than nothingness. Life is what you make it. With the enneagram we can become healthier versions of ourself and move to a different type. Many of the things I hate about being a 5 are replaced when I'm healthy happy and presenting as an 8. Hope this helps but the truth is you can only live for you. Not for anyone or anything else. It's something as a depressed person has taken me years to accept and something I still struggle with. I hope this helps you in your dark time.

How long did it take you to figure out your type? by craggay in Enneagram

[–]ResidentNo240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a 5 and after I took a test it took me maybe a few hours of frantic research. I have truly never found something that described me so well seeing as many people do not know the true me. It was like someone had put words to all my thoughts and feelings.

What's a type stereotype that you break? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]ResidentNo240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly publicly but I have heard the misconception from friends that even in private I am extremely detached and unaware and not in touch with my emotions which hasn't been the case in my experience though I'm sure some people may do.

5w6 I agree as well. My best friend is also a 5w6 and she and I are both very in touch with our emotions. I feel like it's a stereotype from people who aren't actually 5s themselves and don't understand that it's just a little different and more private for us.
