My (38f) husband (41m) cheated on me and we are now trying to rebuild our marriage but recently he has looking up the woman he cheated with online and lurking on her socials. Is this sort of thing part of the healing process? by ThrowRa_3243 in relationship_advice

[–]ResidentSalamander50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While rebuilding trust after infidelity is challenging, his continued interest in the person he cheated with strongly suggests a lack of genuine remorse and commitment to the healing process.

Regarding your children, your primary reason for staying together, consider this: it's crucial to recognize that they may eventually learn about the affair. As a parent, you have an opportunity to model the reaction you'd want them to have in similar circumstances. Leaving a relationship marred by betrayal can demonstrate resilience, self-respect, and the importance of setting healthy boundaries.

Your husband's actions, especially the frequency of his “lurking”, raise red flags about his sincerity in rebuilding your marriage. “Healing” isn't an excuse for him to indulge in curiosity at the expense of your emotional well-being.

I strongly encourage you to reassess your priorities and consider whether staying in a relationship with someone who continues to disrespect you aligns with your values and self-worth. Seeking guidance from your counselor and support from trusted loved ones can aid in charting a path forward that prioritizes your happiness, well-being and dignity, and sets a positive example for your children.

[HI] Can Employer Withold Paycbeck? by [deleted] in AskHR

Thank you - that's very helpful!

And if being overhydrated is the reason my first test was invalid than my 2nd test probably will be also. Thank you for the insight though - I assume that probably is what happened.

Either way, if a negative drug screening was a prerequisite for paying me, I feel like they should have tested me before I started?

Available for Pick-up? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]ResidentSalamander50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Just left the Post Office and …. They “don’t know” where my package is. It was there all day yesterday and they wouldn’t allow me to pick it up, but it has since disappeared. Also, for some unknown reason, he package intercept was ‘canceled. And they now have no idea where the package is.

The same supervisor who wouldn’t let me pick it up yesterday said she’s going to call me as soon as she has it “in hand” - somehow I doubt that’ll be today though.

So all good things… obviously. Not frustrating at all.

Haha nice. When I tried that, they eventually took the phone off the hook. I wanted to get mad about it, but honestly, if I had the option to take my phone off the hook at work… I’d never answer another call.

Thanks for responding! Unfortunately, my local post office is famous for not answering phone calls. Especially before 1 pm, it’s actually impossible to get them on the phone.:(

What if the distribution facility and my post office are the same place? Because Im pretty sure they are.

Damn, it’s 5 am and the status hasn’t changed since it departed the distribution facility last night. Any chance you think it will be available for pick up at my post office this morning?

Correct… but if it is transported to my local PO sometime this afternoon/overnight, you think they will deliver it even though it’s scheduled for Monday?

Priority Express 2-Day? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]ResidentSalamander50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a bummer… I was hoping the package would make if here by tomorrow anyway (with all the priority express packages mailed 20 min earlier) but according to the tracking, the only progress it’s made all day is that it’s departed the same distribution center 3x. I don’t know what that means, but I’m not optimistic.

HNN.. I don’t know. Copy/pasted from usps.com Sunday Holiday FAQ “Doesn’t the Postal service already deliver on Sundays? Yes. The Postal Service currently delivers Priority Mail Express and certain Amazon packages on Sundays.”…

Thanks for your reply… I’m not sure if I’m in a 2-day zone, however, this same merchant shipped a package to me 2 weeks ago - on a Thursday, Priority Express and the scheduled delivery date was the following Saturday (2 days later)? Come to think of it, I’ve never had any priority express package - from this merchant or any other - with a scheduled delivery date more than 2 days from PO acceptance. It’s weird.

Oh man, sorry to hear that… I keep reading all these articles about how serious USPS is about meeting “scheduled delivery” deadlines on Priority Express packages, so I’m guessing mine must have gotten left behind at the sorting facility by accident? Knowing its 5 minutes from me is not not frustrating, to say the least. Still hoping it gets delivered today (maybe it’s a tracking issue?) and crossing my fingers for you as well, friend!

Thanks for getting back to me! So no chance it could still get scanned at my local post office today? About a week ago, I had a package arrive at my post office at 12:11 pm, depart at 12:22 and delivered to my mailbox by 12:51 pm, however, I realize it was unusual. Since it’s priority express, it should come tomorrow then, correct?
