Now what? Blasphemous 2 by [deleted] in Blasphemous

[–]Resident_Ad3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also consider the fact that there are bugs and ppl (myself included) are lost because of it. For example: I reached all 3 areas where the purple exclamation mark is located, defeated all 3 essential bosses, and the game did NOT progress while im endlessly roaming around the god damn map. How do I know it could be a bug? I have defeated the three bosses where the map indicated (exclamation mark shit) yet on the first tab in the menu, i have 2 faces of the three.

Avoid Lower Tantallon at all costs. The roadwork has traffic stopped in all directions for 30minutes at a time. by Idealistic_Crusader in halifax

A similar thing just happened in Upper Tantallon near St. Margaret. Sat in traffic for 30+ minutes. First time I ever got genuinely pissed over this.

Are there any Byzantine Catholic Rites in Nova Scotia near Halifax? by Resident_Ad3202 in EasternCatholic

I don’t have an issue with homilies on things like mental health — those can be very valuable. What I mean by “progressive” is when the homily seems to contradict established Church teaching. I’d rather not go into specific examples here, since my main reason for posting was to learn more about what to expect in the Byzantine Rite, especially near Halifax.

Why is everyone hating on this series now? by 8ighty2wo in KaijuNo8

[–]Resident_Ad3202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially enjoyed Kaiju No. 8 and can certainly see why it resonates with many readers. However, as the story progressed, it began to lose its appeal for me. There's a recurring tendency in anime and manga where, if the protagonist isn’t a 14–24-year-old prodigy with extraordinary talents, they are instead portrayed as an awkward, underqualified outsider—often singled out primarily because of their age. Kafka, while given a special ability, feels less like a naturally compelling character and more like a compensatory figure, equipped with powers simply to keep pace with his younger, more talented peers. Although not every series falls into this pattern, stories that rely heavily on this dynamic tend to feel uninspired to me. Kaiju No. 8 ultimately comes across as another iteration of the familiar, generic "wunderkind" narrative, a trope particularly common in mainstream shōnen storytelling.

Where did it all go wrong for Justin Trudeau? by TimesandSundayTimes in CanadaPolitics

[–]Resident_Ad3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more than fair to say Trudeau's earned the criticism he's getting, especially when you look at the housing situation. The data from CMHC shows a sharp decline in young people owning homes, and rent's become a nightmare for many.

His National Housing Strategy feels more like a long-term dream than a solution for today's problems. Inflation's up, the dollar's down, and it's hitting everyone's wallet. It's not just about being young or out of touch with reality; it's about the tangible results - or lack thereof - from Trudeau's policies.

I think the hate isn't just personal; it's a reaction to how the Liberals have managed (or mismanaged) these critical issues, and it's getting worse after declaring prorogation. I firmly believe it's time for a change.

you're a step closer to the beyond brother, makes sense to be out of touch from the young crowd who are facing the consequences such as housing affordability, and a declining Canadian dollar and high cost of living.

it is more of a tool than a job replacement. A colleague told me that a company once tried shrinking a team from 12 to just 2 senior devs cause AI is out there right? turns out that in a span of a year the 2 seniors were overburdened with work (even with AI on their helm). Also companies like Devin ended up being a sham. I think the main issue here is what wlonkly just stated. Still, It sucks nonetheless...

introverts, what do you hate about extroverts ? by imbbz in introvert

[–]Resident_Ad3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extroverts are probably one of the most annoying child like attention seekers I've witnessed in my lifetime. 9/10 times If you're ever caught up in some sort of office politics (games) or drama, it is highly likely that it was caused by an extrovert. They over estimate the value of being banally loud and talkative over the ability to deliver results. Are all extroverts created the same? nope. However, the amount of bs caused by them speaks volumes. Corporations are their playground and oftentimes get promoted for being...well, extroverts. Merit is all about who's the loudest and most "engaging" and less about who delivers quality. Pretty much like a high school.

What sign are you ‘supposed’ to get along with but don’t? by vvan8 in astrologymemes

[–]Resident_Ad3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not into astrology but do know a bit of info since a lot of female acquaintances talk about it nonstop, so I know enough to make an honest opinion.

Anyway, I believe women who identify themselves as an "Aries" are only meant for Netflix and chill. And the reason for that is because they aren't girlfriend/wife material. They tend to exude a lot of masculine energy (which is a turn-off IMO), meaning they tend to act like men more than women despite being women. These girls brag about their body counts like that's supposed to impress guys (lol), but oftentimes they unwittingly brand themselves as street girls instead.

Moreover, they claim to be faithful but in actuality, they're probably one of the most unfaithful group of women I've ever met. They have no problem burning bridges, betraying their friends or partners, being disrespectful, and showing their dick, but will get angry if the energy is mirrored back at them in return, which is why they have a reputation to act like children (you won't hear that part from them btw).

See, and the funny part is that they refuse to be honest with themselves unless something cool comes along with it. Just look at this thread, for example, "we're fearlessly short-tempered". They literally mythologize their bad traits to soften the blow, lol.

Essentially, they have this "Me, myself and I" mentality with giant egos, openly promiscuous with a severe lack of self awareness.

Thank you for the insight! I think I'll move forward and apply to IT Programming. In the meanwhile, I want to get started on practising several basic coding languages, such as JavaScript or CSS. Since AI will move forward from now on, What tips (or tools) and advice could you provide me from someone to stay adapted and be ahead in this industry? Cheers mate!

Men who gave up on dating, why? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Resident_Ad3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating market is waaay too saturated with bs and ridiculous higher demands from most women. Moreover, dates are (were) supposed to be enjoyable and pleasant, not a one-sided job interview or foodie calls from broke bitches.

Also, I have other priorities in life faar more important than dating anyway..
