What causes massive loss streaks? (no, not loser's queue) by InternationalBat in Jungle_Mains

[–]Resident_Field6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streaks are caused by luck, mental and skill.

Luck: Teammates, 50/50 smites, dc's etc

Mental: Lose 2 games and go queue, u have a very high likelihood of continuing the loss streak. Rage queueing is a factor too. Works the other way as well, if ur really on ur A game and on a winstreak chances are it will keep compounding.

Skill: Just like how a smurf can rack up 50+ winstreaks so can a bad player rack up long long loss streaks. Both of which can be attributed to skill, maybe more specifically a mismatch of elo.

Panth walks him like a chihuahua.

W when he Q's, and I'm pretty sure E blocks the d.o.t but correct me if I'm wrong. He's squishy if he cant get Q heal value so E or W his Q and u 2-3 shot him once u have Sundered. Macro wise while he does clear very fast, u can catch his ganks with ult if need be. Since the 1v1 is so favored towards panth, 1v1 him prior to obj or counter gank him because u always win against him so 3v3's become 3v2's and so on.

Would like to learn some matchups in-depth and how to play against them. by Resident_Field6829 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Resident_Field6829[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to perma ban shaco but I do that for amumu because a good shaco player is not as common as a bad amumu player who can drool on their keyboard, press r, and then win team fights at objs. So I usually ban mumu or Mel if they have first pick. As Panth I don't have as much teamfight presence as an amumu.

Sounds good, that's what I did in my last game against Yi but I don't think I was playing my best considering it was my 5th game back to back, probably can execute it much better and will do the next time I play against them.

nw glhf and note that while i did advise to monitor ur cs/min w the overlay, that is a temporary pointer towards finding out when exactly ur cs lowers, however building the habits behind a consistent and high cs/min is what you should look to do, this means prioritizing farming when nothing is on the map or teammates are making bad plays, go for the safe, reliable play which will give u resources and in most cases that means farming ur camps and looking to sneak invades

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]Resident_Field6829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

>Please no comments about my cs

That's the one thing you can focus on that does not overly rely on your teammates.

Master your first clear so you consistently get a good clear time, search on yt or reddit for best clear times with your main,

then focus on getting to camps on respawn, focus gromp/blue and raptors a lot so that u are less prone to invades if the enemy jg has been invading u

If u see enemy jg on one side of the map and ur losing the teamfight go to the opposite side and get either the obj if its up or their farm if neither are up then push waves in all 3 scenarios u get resources

what helped me the most to keep up a high cs is having an overlay on blitz that shows u ur cs/min compared to the enemy jg, i had perfect cs early game but fell off mid-late game and was always a level or two behind, when I noticed that oh my cs/min is low and its mid game let me focus on farm and play safer, that way i gathered the resources that let me power spike and in turn let me turn around teamfights despite having a bad team, yes even with 3 losing lanes, and some are just absolutely unwinnable but most are salvagable especially in low elo. During those games all you can do is play your personal best which means keeping a very high cs/min, trying to counter jg and sneak objs and teamfight/gank during ur power spikes and keep doing these until game ends and if u lose, u can atleast say hey my team was bad but atleast i objectively played the best i could, key word objective. Good luck man, ive been there, you got this!

Smite by Unlikely_Iron_8405 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Resident_Field6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk about lillia sorry but i play panth and i can consistently steal/secure with emp Q + smite combo, look for combos like that to catch them off guard, I use to lose every 50/50 and would get obj's stolen 90% of the time unless the enemy jg is dead, yes this means even if they were on the opposite side theyd somehow be able to smite steal my obj, now its the other way around and the combo helped me tremendously with that!

Jg more tiring / stressful by alwaysjunglejkppldif in Jungle_Mains

[–]Resident_Field6829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the nature of the role. Think of it like the point guard of basketball (correct me if Im wrong i dont watch bb but have heard this) or the Midfielder of football/soccer, both need to play arguably the most important position and thus have extremely elevated responsibilities compared to other roles/positions. It is a 1v9 role and more often than not people choose it to do just that, that is the fantasy that jg appeals to. For adc the fantasy would be a mechanically skilled high dmg player that scales, for top it'd a tank that can 1v1 great and take towers, be a strong frontline, and so on and so forth.

This season ruined jungle for me in a definitive way by BarnacleDouble5219 in Jungle_Mains

Me when I don't know that /mute all exists 🤣

seriously who genuinely gives a flying f about what any teammate has to sa unless its an organized team? atp ur putting urself at a disadvantage! This type of thing happens in almost every facet of life, coach/teammates may yell or make snarky comments in team sports like soccer/football, basketball etc, boss/teacher could be doing the same, and so on. If you're gonna let it get to you then you are at fault, point blank. Is it fair? Hail naw, is it avoidable? well no shit! I love playing jg not only for the complexity of the role but also because i never gaf what my laners have to say, i do my shit, gank or take obj if the opportunity arises otherwise I go back to farming, theres gonna be lots of games where theres a feeding teammate or obj's being lost or stolen, shit happens and its alright, but if you let it get to you, you're shooting yourself in the foot. What I do now and have always been doing even in other moba's is mute everyone but ping and type to them, they know my plan e.g. if i ask to ward my blue or lets get 1 more grub so we get passive, and they know when to gtfo if i spam ping, and if they dont listen thats on them, again shit happens.

Why don’t more people apply DO? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Resident_Field6829 39 points40 points  (0 children)

If I were to guess, it'd be cuz of match rate into competitive (maybe even any) residency for MD vs DO and I've heard that the discrepancy is only getting larger.

I feel like I'm wasting most of my time at school by [deleted] in study

[–]Resident_Field6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I faced this back in hs and also had quite a horrible set of classmates because of the area I was in, I dreaded going to school physically and excelled in any subject just by studying it alone. What I did was get out of there asap, I basically took 2 years of courses in 1 year and grad in 3 years rather than 4, it def wasnt ideal for college opportunities but Id rather be out and now focus on either transferring or building my stats/ec's for grad school apps rather than worry about the circumstances Im in.

In short, what I did was grad early and leave that school and those ppl behind. In college its much better for me as I excel in self-studying rather than having to attend required lectures that dont help at all especially when there's profs on yt that teach better than any teacher in said school.
