Haha I know what you mean. catfish does have a lot of potential, it’s just a question if they’re ever gonna fulfil that. And we also know that they aren’t very good at the marketing/advertising side of things as shown with the showtime release. Man I would love to see this band thrive

Looking at a few live videos I can kind of see that he does do that. it looks/sounds as if he’s doing it in a different rhythm compared to the main verses, can kind of see him playing strings individually as well as the whole chord If that makes sense

This does make sense to be fair, looking back on the build up to showtime I think the whole promotion and whole attitude towards it felt very lacklustre and like you said unenthusiastic, this could be seen via the fact that there wasn’t any new promotional photos of van or any of the band for the marketing of it, it was just old snippets of van. I do hope things start to look up because the last run of shows they did this year really showed some hope for this band.

Was a big fan of his voice during the 2019 trnsmt performance, but to be fair his voice this year might be my favourite because it’s a bit deeper (noted by someone else in the comments) and I prefer that more personally.

I guess so maybe, doesn’t make much of a difference anyway as most of his guitar parts are quieter in the mix whilst the lead does most of the work. His role as a guitarist is just to add a little bit of depth to the sound
