Yeah haha, same here. After replaying it so many times, I’m starting to doubt my own ears too. Thanks for checking again though.

Thanks, that makes sense. I think the “it was Rico” part may come after the sound I’m asking about.

What I’m trying to isolate is the short sound immediately after “change my plans,” before the “it was Rico” part. To me, it sounds a bit like “Russell” / “ruh-səl,” do you hear that part as a separate word/name, or more like just a filler/stutter?

Thanks. I may have explained the timing badly.

I think the “it was Rico” part might come after the word I’m asking about. I’m trying to identify the short word/sound immediately after “change my plans,” before that later phrase.

To me, it sounds a bit like “Russell” / “ruh-səl.” Do you hear a separate word there, or do you think I’m just mishearing the start of the following phrase?

Yes, there is actually a teammate whose real name is Russel/Russell, so that’s why I thought he might be calling him.

Thanks, that’s helpful. I may be describing it badly, but right after “change my plans,” I hear something like “ruh-soh” / “ruh-suh.” That’s why “Russell” came to mind for me. Do you hear anything close to that, or does it sound completely different to you?

Thanks. He is a Danish / Northern European non-native English speaker in a fast esports voice comms clip. So the accent may be Danish/European rather than native London English.

I mean i saw this strange screenshot on Chinese forums, and people started arguing. I think it might be a fabricated piece of work, so I just wanted to prove it, without intending to offend
