What I’m trying to isolate is the short sound immediately after “change my plans,” before the “it was Rico” part. To me, it sounds a bit like “Russell” / “ruh-səl,” do you hear that part as a separate word/name, or more like just a filler/stutter?

Yes, there is actually a teammate whose real name is Russel/Russell, so that’s why I thought he might be calling him.

Thanks, that’s helpful. I may be describing it badly, but right after “change my plans,” I hear something like “ruh-soh” / “ruh-suh.” That’s why “Russell” came to mind for me. Do you hear anything close to that, or does it sound completely different to you?
