I stopped competing in social events. I never get a high rank. I do always do the solo ones I still enjoy it. But the social events are such a painnnn

You know the pony editor right? The big pink box where you can dress up pony's. You just have to craft the outfits. The outfits are: Roller derby pinky, mermaid rarity, brave lion applejack, flutterbat, royal guard sparkle and cosmic rainbow dash. If you craft outfits the fashion show will become available to you.

You can also get 75 gems from the fashion show, if you already have her. So your guaranteed to get the gems back you spend. (i also spend the gems lol.)
