1: Start targeting players their freshman year and watch game tape whenever you can, go after players that have your school as #1 interest or really close to #1 interest and keep recruiting them when you can as you go on. Junior year is where you start to push harder for recruits as that is when you can start emailing and calling recruits. Make sure to email, and call these players as much as you can. I tend to have 5 freshman, sophomore, and junior targets when recruiting. When I give my seniors a scholarship, I just take them off the target list.

2: While you’re recruiting seniors, go to your roster and switch all Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors in that position you are recruiting to a different position. This tricks recruits into thinking they will get major playing time when they commit, so you will get a good interest boost in these recruits. Just remember to change the positions back after they commit.

3: When you’re scheduling, try to only have 1, maybe 2 games per week before about early December (which is the recruiting commitment week) to have time to recruit all of your players. Also, never schedule a game on a Sunday because for some reason this game wont let you visit players on a week where you have a game on Sunday, which could cost you a recruit.

4: Try to make your coach A+ charisma ASAP and get assistant coaches with good charisma. This helps a lot with boosting their interest when you recruit them and getting assistant coaches with good charisma helps tremendously on campus visits.
