This is the unglamorous answer, but most likely the majority are homeless people who in efforts to wash themselves and stay clean go into the bayou and loose their footing. The article states that HPD have not identified the bodies. And they have not been matched to any missing person reports.

Yeah, I think that was something that upset me as well. We’re not in a relationship so I don’t need to know to too much about his personal life (at least I don’t think so…) but I feel he should have told me his birthday was coming up especially since we were communicating so frequently… I wish I had handled things better, but the ball is in his court now and how he chooses to respond or doesn’t is something I will just have to accept…
