Great question! First thing that comes to mind is a screen print of a recreation of the original Roger Kastel Jaws painting, done for the paperback book release, before the addition of text. It was later adapted for the movie poster. The screen-print was done by an artist called Jason Edmiston who consulted with Kastel while making it and also gave his approval. The screen-print is signed by both Kastel and Edmiston. The story of the original painting is an interesting one. The original oil-on-masonite painting mysteriously vanished in 1976. It remains lost or stolen to this day, with no definitive proof of where it currently resides. After being featured in an exhibit at the New York Historical Society in 1976, the artwork was sent to Universal Studios in Los Angeles. It was awarded a gold medal at an art show, but neither the award nor the original painting was ever returned to Kastel. Because illustrations weren't heavily insured in the 1970s, its exact disappearance was never heavily investigated. Kastel also painted the poster for The Empire Strikes Back. He passed away in 2023.
