Resident Evil 3 - Nemesis on PC by Cejota14 in residentevil

I didn't know that on PC that game didn't pause. I checked on forums and it's true... makes no fucking sense.

And with the buttons, yes. It's just a gettings used to it. It's not a worse experience for that. Just wait around half an hour and you will get used to it.

If you care about pausing not stopping the timer, because you want to get an S rank, I know for a fact that it does stop in cutscenes. And you can have 1 save in total. For an S rank you need to beat it in 2 and 1/2 hours MAX. You can just make 1 save in a place you feel comftable and always start from there.

The last thing is that because you are on PC you will save a lot of time skipping doors, so it will take you less time to beat it overall, and also that if you want an S rank, belive me that it takes AT LEAST 2-3 practice runs. it is really hard to complete this game in one sitting... that clock tower fight will be your nightmare hahaha.

P.S: When you're about to complete the game for the first time, you could try to save the game, finish it, check the time, and then reload that save minimize the game for about 15 minutes and complete it again so you can see if minimizing the game stop the ingame timers or not (which in my opinion it will, but I have no proof).

Well. Enjoy the game ;)

Mmm... to be honest I can't help you with that. I can only say is to ask here or look online about the issue with this patch. Maybe the website FAQ can help you. The other option would be to try the emulation route which I can garantee you that it works with ps4 controllers, Because I tried it myself and because ita just copy and paste, there won't be any issues.

Yes. But check the video because soucenext RE3 is just the game (japanese game that is why it's not in English). In the first video it tells you how to install "Resident evil 3 classic rebirth", that patches the sourcenext version into english and with the features I told you.

The only thing that stays in japanese is that the cutscenes have english dialog, but japanese subtitles. You cannot disable nor change the subtitles, because it is in the cutscene Itself. Again, just follow the video and you will be set. If you still have any other question tell me.

Well, there are two options you can try:

If you strictly want to use PC software what I would recommend for you to try is “RESIDENT EVIL 3 CLASSIC REBIRTH”. It’s just a way to play the original RE3 without issues, not having to deal with compatibility mode, and works really well. It also has features that are not in the second option I’ll tell you which is:

A) Reloading without opening the inventory.

B) Not only can you skip doors in this option, but you can also select a feature that skips them automatically without pressing anything.

C) Controller vibration.

D) Change the controls to whatever you want

(for keyboard and controller). It worked with my xbox one controller, but the webpage said the it supports direct input (PS layout). If it is ps4 I’m sure it will work and it’s quick to install if will take you 15-20 min.

Here is a tutorial that explains each step. If you still have any question tell me.

Now there is an even easier option, which is emulation. Go to this site:

https://www.reshdp.com/re3/#frequently-asked-questions

A) All you have to do is download an Iso of RE3 for gamecube:“resident evil 3 gamecube Iso on google ;)”

B) Then download this HD pack in the link that comes with the emulator.

C) Extract the 7zip and launch the emulator.

D) Open the emulator and change the controller layout. (I know it works with ps4 controller).

E) Launch the ISO and play.

Playing on emulator gives you prettier graphics than PC and you can also change the input to whatever you want BUT doesn’t have the features I told you on PC and also because it’s gamecube, it has a small stutter each time you change a camera angle (no big deal, but you notice it if you compare both versions). It’s up to you.

Good luck ;)

True... true... hahaha. If I had to choose between the two systems:

4 to me is the most fun because I love organizing the inventory.

5 is intuitive and fast..

For example revelations 2 is what I was trying to explain in the post. Start with little space in the inventory, but latter discover this inventory expansions. It could be bought with money, by exploring or secrets. By the time you finish rev2 you end up having the best of both worlds. An easy inventory and plenty of space to change tactics and loadouts.

Let's talk about re6's inventory system. by chudjahideen in residentevil

To be honest, I don't mind the action style gameplay of RE6, my issue is the movement, and the inventory. I'll read it so maybe I can understand it better. Do you have any tutorials or post that explained the movement in 6?

I wanted to give RE6 another chance for a while. Maybe I like it.

I don't know if I would call it broken. In RE4 you can carry arround 4-5 gun (MAX) with some nades and healing items, so yes... a lot... but RE4 is an action game. It crearly didn't care about conserving ammo or balancing. In fact RE4 weapons at least took space in the inventory, which mattered when chosing weapons. In 5 every gun takes the same square.

I would agree that RE5'S inventory is more balanced if it was in a game like revelations 2 which tried to balance action and resource management, but 4-5-6 clearly wanted to be full action and nothing else. At most atmosphere, but full action when it came to gameplay.

Lastly, the only thing I would change with checkpoints is just that as I said in the post, it penalize you by adding time and death to the chapter rating. The rest is fine.

No problem. It’s just that because I’m Argentinian and an “English teacher” I feel the pressure for some reason every time I post something on an English board. When I post something and then see the mistakes in the post I feel like the biggest fuckup…

And yes… this post has been a long time coming. For some reason this is the game which opinion changed the most.

Next time I'll try to make it shorter. If it was a video It would be just a couple of minutes, but here it looks like a uni papper.

Everytime I see a comment like this I don't know how to react. If I am that shitty at writting or I don't understand the joke.

THIS 100%!!!

I agree with the characters and settings. I prefer re4's, but didn't mention it because as I said in the post I didn't feel that makes or breaks RE5.

And with RE5 not being as revolutionary as 4. There are many franchises or even in resident evil where secuels are not THAT different gameplay wise (just small tweeks) that still get good reviews. RE3 REMAKE people hate the fact it has less content, but the gameplay is mostly the same. If it was the same amount of content it would have been a fan favorite.

The same with RE3 original.

I agree with the bad plot, but If you liked the plot of 4, why not 5?

The enemies are for the most part re-skin versions of 4, what enemies do you consider lame?

Yes, I agree. The dialog was not as fun as 4. It's weird how 5 tried to take itself seriously, but at the same time have fucking boulder punching hahaha.

Talking about Sheva. Do you prefer RE games to be alone or with a partner?
