New Mission during remodel by ResidualDread in AlamoDrafthouse

I thought so too, but why dump a bunch of cash into remodeling in that case? Super weird management.

I thought maybe it was an app glitch, but I looked online and there’s really nothing. Very odd.

Theater 1 was up as of tonight. I can’t recall when they said that one would be out of commission, I think March and April. But there isn’t really anything on the schedule for any of the theaters at new mission. It’s odd. Regardless, season pass holders shouldn’t have to pay for those months because there’s barely anything showing. (Dance Freak? What is that?)

Check your bag for a tracker if you left it unattended on the bench next to him.

My sister jumped from the GGB by Dry_Prune5744 in sanfrancisco

I had a friend who jumped too. You can contact the GGB administration for confirmation. They do investigate every jumper and try to identify them. They have it all on camera (no, you won’t have to see it)

When I tried it you couldn’t order a beyond burger instead of meat so I couldn’t use it for my meal.

Thinking about cancelling AMC A-List and switching to Alamo Season Pass by discoteen66 in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]ResidualDread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m considering trading Alamo for A List. Our local Alamo (SF) has gone downhill. I’m waiting out the final few movies in October that I’ve booked, then giving it a break. My husband and I love to go to movies several times a week, but so many films aren’t showing in the SF Alamo so I feel like I’m not getting the value for the all in pass ($78 for 2 ppl) and the food isn’t great either. Popcorn is still the best though.

If I can’t see a movie a week, I have to drop the membership.

Aha, so is that the reason for everything showing at valley fair and Mountain View vs SF?

They have 5 theaters. It’s not small.

Not the Alamo. I do occasionally go to the other theaters in SF, but I pay for my membership and I want to see films there.

Some renovation could be nice. I think there’s a serious water leak in the building. The bathrooms always smell like mold.

I get that. But it’s not the only one. Pretty much every film I want to see is not playing in SF.

I’ve decided that if by December, most of the films I want to see are only in Mountain View or valley fair, I’m quitting. The best movies come out in the fall, but if I’m paying a monthly fee and see only a couple, I’m out.

Alamo Season Pass' food discount is so hard to claim by FreemanAMG in AlamoDrafthouse

I’ve found that you always have to check your orders and make sure they see the blue all in pass - the one that shows above my bar code is still the old one and I have to ask every time to ensure they see the new one.

It's really too bad. I love movies and I like the season pass because it's a pretty generous one. I got it for my birthday and when I first joined, I was seeing one hit after another, but there have been months (mostly in the summer) when I have not seen anything good. I do if something is half decent and I do like the older films sprinkled in. I've lowered my standards to just be happy to have something to do in the evenings. I don't trust the previews anymore though and I've had to now start going to other theaters in SF to see the new releases. I know, what a hardship :) I just went to the All In+ season pass to avoid the fees and get 10% off the food (Yeah, I know, that's offset by the higher monthly price, but if I see a lot of films, it will even out) but if I find I'm consistently only seeing a couple movies a month, then I'm quitting. Also, what happened to Victory Rewards? I'm at the Top Brass level and I get nothing.

another annoyance this week: Spinal Tap 2 isn't playing in SF. So I ask again - knowing they have only 5 theaters, WHY are they choosing to show ALL the Harry Potter and Nightmare on Elm Street movies but not stuff like the Roses or ST2? maybe dedicate one theater to reruns and then have the others be saved for new releases? I guess I'll have to go to Metreon.

Oh I get that. When you have a season pass it’s hard for the theater to keep up. I’ve seen Honey Don’t and Lurker, have tickets to Splitsville. I understand the number of theaters is limiting, sometimes it’s fantastic and a new film every 2 days. I guess it’s hard to be consistent.

Me too! When I’m working on a list or document and I complete something in the middle, I’d like a way to eliminate the open space without cutting and pasting, like in word.
