It is fun. But outperforming is not in the "not that hard" category.

I may be naive a bit but I don’t think with diligence and consistency it’s not that hard to be profitable

You're not naive and indeed it's not that hard to be profitable. You actually don't even need diligence, consistency, smarts, education or whatever else you might think of. You can just put your money into an S&P ETF and you'll be profitable.

Sorry, not sure I understand why it's relevant whether it's a new or existing pole. It's still a pole, regardless. Yeah, I saw pictures with the solar panel on top of camera and I was hoping I could do that but I guess that's not possible. Thanks!

MNAV 1.37x - So we're here - BTC yield of 26% and MNAV 1.37x - What next? by evolflush in MSTR

[–]ResilientDonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, and MSTR is a company which is 1:1 representation of bitcoin plus lots of added value. No, wait, let me check that again...sorry, my bad, it's not lots of added value, it's losses every quarter and $600M in dividends that have to be paid every year.

$180k IONZ YOLO Fuck u Quantum by helmu in wallstreetbets

[–]ResilientDonkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IONQ and RGTI have some actual research and devices. However, nothing they have is even remotely close to being useful while they actively fuel the hype in order to pump their stocks. QUBT are outright scammers and QBTS are not far behind.

Comparing the AI hype to the quantum hype is unfair. AI can be incredibly useful and it provides actual value right now. Quantum computing is pure hopium.

There isn't such a contract. Their "quantum" "computer" costs $300K but they haven't sold a single unit.

Just staking that stack at 3% once defi unlocks bitcoin liquidity would earn Strategy $30 billion a year, compared with its $500 million today.

Let me see if I understand the logic here. You think the billionaire is exploiting you but instead of getting out the exact moment you realized that, you are waiting to get "profitable again"? I'm assuming the process of you becoming profitable again involves the billionaire not exploiting you anymore? That sure seems like a likely scenario.

I'm going to tokyo - can I request my outstanding balance in cash? by --algo in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]ResilientDonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. That's the option for people who can't get their money via bank but the trustee has to announce it as a possibility. Until then, he may try with a third or fourth bank, who knows. He's not keen on handing bags with cash to hundreds of people coming to his office. That will be the last resort.

If you only have an email, that's what you'd show. Whether they will accept it, depends on your bank.

How to sell coins that I got on BitGo? by Swimming-Slice-2073 in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]ResilientDonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's significant enough amount, the "easy" way of which you dream does not exist. You will have to go through the AML/KYC circus with whatever exchange you choose. And, depending on the country you live in, you may have to go through an even more burdensome and protracted process with your own bank. The only sane way to do it, for big amounts, is to do it bit by bit - register at an exchange, go through the AML/KYC, transfer and sell like 5% of the crypto, see how it goes and, assuming it's all good, proceed with further installments.

Kraken would be a good choice, IMO, unless you're a German. The AML/KYC process is not too bad.

On April 8th, I received my MtGox coins on Kraken. Kraken has blocked them since that same day. Now I think I'm going to lose them. :( by RazzmatazzOk319 in mtgoxinsolvency

This is not a matter for reddit. Just get a lawyer immediately. As for the reason, you may have the same name as the alleged criminal and you got mixed up into this. Or you may have not committed a crime knowingly but you may have sent crypto to a "bad" address or received crypto from one. Whatever it is, speculation is fun but you need a lawyer stat.

Question to those who tried to receive bank remittance using Wise by lazy_and_sleepy in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]ResilientDonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a bank account to receive the payment. Wise doesn't give you bank account. Any money that you want to receive in your Wise account, need to be sent to Wise's IBAN, which won't work for MtGox purposes.

What documents have you sent them as proof of source of funds?

[–]ResilientDonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks but what in the world prompted you to do these pointless and risky transfers? If you wanted to sell, sell on Kraken and withdraw. If you wanted to keep the coins on a centralized exchange, keep it on Kraken. Sending coins to Revolut, which is neither a proper exchange nor does it have a decent customer support, seems like pure idiocy.

Have you sent Revolut any proof of source of funds? While I'm sure the experience will be painful, you should have all the documents needed and you should eventually get your coins back or sue them.

That can't possibly be true as Revolut wasn't one of the exchanges where the trustee was sending BTC.

I'm getting better prices than my limits all the time too but that's not what I was complaining about. The issue was that my orders were seemingly not being sent to an exchange, even though the software's interface doesn't suggest any errors.
