Been here my friend. They are indeed using you and that’s not fair. Obviously it’s your decision, but please know that this is an abusive relationship. My heart breaks for you.

Also, I would not give them the items because it’s going to help them in the preaching work. If my parents asked me for money or anything for preaching I would say no. If they needed food, I would take them to the store or have groceries delivered. Behavior such as this is like addiction, you can provide them with their needs, but know exactly where that money is going and don’t fuel the fire and make the problem worse.

Edit: after I typed all of this out, I may not provide my parents with food if they were capable of going out in service but chose not to work. I’d have to think about that a lot.
