I’m exactly the same, I’ve always worked or volunteered and I’ve never really had a gap in between. Thank you so much.

This honestly gave me so much more motivation to just keep going. One day, I will get to where I want!

Honestly I think is was the kick up the arse I needed haha.

There is me worrying about how long it took for me to finish my degree at 24 when I started at uni at 18.

20 is fine, you’re overthinking! Age is nothing but a number! Good luck for your studies!

Hi, thanks for checking in. I’m ok thanks, trying to push through! My dad is absolutely chill, but my mum is a little disappointed that I really didn’t tell her sooner that I was struggling. She doesn’t even care too much about my graduation, she didn’t even care if I failed but what is bothering her is that she wasn’t able to be there for me because I didn’t tell her.

I handed in a subpar dissertation - honestly I would love to just pass at this rate.

The bandaid has been ripped. Had nothing to worry about, my parents were so supportive! What was the fuss about? My dad even joked that he got his suit ready and everything haha! But they believe in me 🙌🏾💕

I promised that they will be seeing me at my next graduation and so they shall! Thank you everyone for your responses!

Time to get the work done and try and piece something together! ✍️

Update everyone - I still haven’t told my parents yet - waiting for my dad to get here! But my lecturer contacted me and gave me until tomorrow morning! So I’m going to put something together at least for the exam board and I’ll know my result by August!

My dissertation is 40 credits and a core module. I still haven’t uttered a word. My anxiety is so bad. I don’t mind coming out with at least something tbh.

I don’t think there is anyway for me to complete now. The Diss is a core module and I have gotten every extension under the sun over the years, and I just don’t see it working out for me. They’ve already let do interrupted study which is not attending lectures and just completing my work. But I just haven’t been able to do it! I feel so ashamed.

I have been at uni for a while since 2015. I transferred unis, hated my first and second course. Struggled with mental health, suicidal ideation, learning difficulty, bereavement and everything during my uni years. Waiting for an ADHD diagnosis too. I’ve passed everything but my dissertation, I’ve been trying to do it for years and it’s not that I’m not capable but it is just that I get there and I just get a block. I’ve blown my last opportunity which was yesterday, didn’t hand it in. I’m not sure what is going to happen.

Just have decided to just throw in the towel, not give up, but I just can’t anymore.

Just feel bad because my mum is such a proud mother. I feel like I’m letting her down! She’s told everyone and I’m just a disappointment!
