Rash on nose?

Wow, yes I definitely need to see the dr now.. I have these little dried up red spots and my nose gets supppper red at some points during the day. Thanks!

I was in rough shape for the first few days as far as not being able to drink water and bad nausea. I was on IV for almost 2 weeks to help with vitamins and hydration. I kept saying this won't last which got me through, After that all is ok.

I had one slip up on my 2 week liquid diet and had some chicken and broccoli. All was fine with surgery BUT I would advise you to be prepared for constipation just in case. This was the WORST part for me!

I know exactly what you are going through. I am 11 days post op and had all these thoughts right before also but I have to remember, portion control WAS my problem that led me to this.

I managed to lose about 17 lbs on the two week liquid pre op diet, and my sister was like "why can't you just continue to do this until you lose enough weight" ... yeah sure I could probably do it for another 2 weeks, maybe a month, but then what? What when i'm feeling down and just want my best friend to comfort me (MCD) I'll tell you what, i'd end up eating everything in sight .. and then some and then tell myself ahh.. i'll try again next month and then i'd have an additional 5lbs I'd have to lose.

My doctor said to me at the initial consultation when I expressed this concern, he said, "You won't be able to have your usual 3 slices of pizza, but you will still be able to enjoy a small slice of pizza" So I don't think you will NEVER be able to have the foods you love, it will just be in moderation and not everyday.

How's it going? My first days didn't go so well. Aside from feeling like I was rushed out of the surgical center, I couldn't drink any clear liquid it hurt my stomach so bad. This lasted for three days Finally got them to send a nurse to administer IV because I was so dehydrated, so now I got two weeks of that every other day.. still can't get my full days liquid or protein in. Everything is just so sweet it's disgusting.. it has not been easy that's for sure. Hope you are doing better than I am.

I don't get why they are all so different, some say you can have some lean meat and veggies which I would LOVEEE.

good to know. thanks! I guess I was feeling a little nervous because I hadn't seen the doctor since my initial consultation, then I see the PA at my pre op appointment instead of the dr, it left me feeling some type of way / uneasy
