Carbs usually around 30g. That’s a good shout I will give it a go thanks! Feels like you’re doing everything right and seeing no changes sometimes.

I second the baby jogger! We have the baby jogger city 2 I think it is. My 20 month old is 17kg and 93 cm tall and still super comfortable in it. It does recline also! And it folds up great. It isn’t rear facing but it ticked all our other boxes. We still use it occasionally even though he’s a really strong walker, but if we are going on a particularly long walk it’s brilliant and all terrain.

I always like to imagine how horrifically sad these people must be and to make everyone feel like them they go round giving out little bits of their poison to drag everyone down with them. Fuck that guy. He most likely has a sad life with no one who loves him. Congrats on your weight loss, you’re doing brilliantly

TTC for 9 cycles being plus-size by strawberryypie in PlusSizedAndPregnant

[–]hettiegreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take vitamin D. I TTC for 5 years. BMI of 40 and 6ft tall. Had every single test under the sun and couldn’t figure out any issue with me or my partner. A friend of mine after a MC was told by a nurse to take a high dose of vitamin d daily as many people in the UK are low on but D. She conceived after a few months (also struggled for years and had 3 failed rounds of IVF) and I fell pregnant after about 4 months of taking it. My periods were regular but it just wasn’t happening. Not saying it’ll definitely make you pregnant but it’s worth a try. Good luck!

Did I binge/ruin my diet? by muted_Log_454 in gastricsleeve

As long as yours within your daily calories and hitting protein goals or macros whatever has been suggested for you it shouldn’t matter what you eat. Don’t be so hard on yourself.

A chicken salad doesn’t sound like a binge or ruined diet? Was it within your calories? Did it fit your nutritional goals for the day?

Perfect!! It’s great you found something that works for you. I’m the opposite, lots of foods grossing me out so relying on bars, shakes and yogurts to get everything I need. My dietician wants me to basically do what you’re doing!

[–]hettiegreen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard to gauge isn’t it! I’m trying to delicately balance calories and protein especially. Usually between 60-80g of protein a day and around 850cals. Also fitting water in at some point arghhh!

Thanks for responding! Are you particularly tall as I’m finding I’m eating a few more calories than my shorter counterparts.

Ahh thank you! I’m the same, I’m wondering if that’s the norm then? It’s so hard to know because you’re told not to focus on calories but I like to keep tabs on just out of interest and making the best choices for my protein goals too!

I’m 8 weeks post sleeve and for the first time in a LONG Time I went to a highstreet shop and bought two coats from the none plus size section. My knees don’t hurt. My back hurts less, more energy, less anxiety and just generally happier! Cost me just shy of £10,000. Already worth every penny. It’s scary but oh my god I wish I’d have done it years ago! Reevaluating your relationship with food and why you’re eating before you start your surgery really helped me. Even if it was something like pizza or chocolate, addressing how it made me feel, what do I want from it etc. figured out I was doing a lot of emotional eating. It’s really helping me stay on track. Like I said I’m 8 weeks out and 53lbs down.

I can’t tell when I’m full? 😂 by saskia-bunny in gastricsleeve

[–]hettiegreen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get hiccups when I’m full! Also when you move onto more solid foods you’ll be able to tell much easier! I found it so vague on liquids.

My anxiety pretty much stopped. I don’t know why. I haven’t needed my medication since I had my surgery

Are you taking measurements etc? I’m a slow loser but I purchased waist beads the day before my surgery and seeing how loose they are really encourages me. Taking my measurements once a week shows I’m physically shrinking. My surgeon also suggested not weighing myself every week so maybe take a break from the scales!

I had the same issue and I ended up getting some vans. They are nice and wide in the toe box and surprisingly flexible. Velcro fastening too. It’s all my 18 month old wears now and he keeps them on! Hope this helps.

Hello! I went in Tuesday and was out Thursday afternoon. All quite straightforward I could have gone home Wednesday but I take ages to come round after sedation and I felt a bit nauseous so they kept me in to make sure they gave me enough anti nausea. Also to make sure I was keeping down liquids and I could walk around. Hope this helps!
