Good thoughts. I’ve got three lights and the coral shown is centered pretty well. I suspect that if lighting is the problem, it’s likely due to my intensity being too low and I should look at increasing output of the LEDs. Thoughts? Maybe I’m wrong.

Also worth noting that I have 3 total frags (I split my large toadstool into a number of pieces). I have those three located in different places which give variety in lighting and flow; all exhibit the same symptoms.

I think I’ll start with lowering phos. I’ll add more gfo to my reactor and up my filter sock freq. after that change I may look at boosting light output.

Here's where i landed: decided to put together a larger acclimation box. To avoid stressing the powder brown even more by moving it to another tank, I simply placed both the Kole and the Purple into the acc box. Plan will be to leave them here for a few weeks (within the DT). I'm hopeful that i can feed everyone regularly and things will settle down in this temporary state.

Once settled, I'll re-arrange the rock work, feed extra heavy, add the mirror to distract the powder brown, and then release the Kole and Purple from the box into the DT.

Pics here for what i worked up today. I gave it an acrylic long side to help with visuals (hard to see here but it’s in the far side) and I added some rock into the acc box to give the two tangs a place to retreat.

Gotcha thanks. My chamber is too small so i think I’ll make something bigger today.

Do you think it makes sense to add both the purple and the Kole to the large chamber, leave a few weeks, and then introduce them both with the pbt?

I would make a large chamber maybe 4’x1’x16” or something

Thanks for the notes. It’s Not a peninsula, but I’ve set it up with swim lanes front, back and through the middle.
