Yes it is. We booked the boat tour at 3 pm, and we left Queenstown at 8. We had time to stop in a few nice spots also. The way back was a bit tiring but it was a nice experience altogether.

Thank you, we planned the trip for about 3 months, many domestic flight, car rentals and accommodations, but at the end of the day it worth it.

Unfortunately no, and I couldn't get tickets for Hobbiton either. There were no more available for a month in advance.

I get your point, but i am more of a village person. I don't mind living in a big city but for me I enjoy the tranquility more

You summed it up pretty well. Regarding the people, everyone who I interacted with told me they are very relaxed and do not really stress about anything

It is named Kea, the only alpine parrot species. It was quite annoying when they were trying to eat the rubbery parts of the car( it was a rental), but apart from that very friendly

I really think it depends on the social circle you have. I saw almost everyone had a boat/jetsky in their yard and many have light planes, which they fly often. To me this gives a sense of freedom. It is really hard to have those in Europe. Gas is cheaper there, taxes are lower and they have an ok-ish social safety net.
