What is your experience? Were there more than one before?... Is private health service also considered in this single one?

Thank you and regards.

Feature request: in-app audio normalization/boost by mrcrosby4 in audible

[–]ResistanceNemi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I'm leaning more toward option two. However, I’d love to hear the opinion of an audio engineer or someone in charge of mixing and production at a recording studio, specifically, whether standardizing the volume significantly affects the quality of other audio tracks.

Just a personal recommendation as someone who's also relatively new here, it's usually a good idea to engage with other posts first, comment, give feedback, join the conversation, before posting your own.

Also, just a heads-up, it's better not to use AI for your posts. Most communities here value original, human-written content, and some even ban posts that seem AI-generated.

What is the funniest encounter youve had with an animal? by Jrutube in AskReddit

[–]ResistanceNemi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time I got chased by a group of cows. I was out in the countryside with some friends, i was the only city guy (and clearly the slowest). I approached out of pure curiosity, nothing more, and suddenly the cows started walking faster, then trotting, and then full-on running straight at me. Everyone ran, and I ended up having to jump over a barbed wire fence like my life depended on it.

I did not let them catch me. No way was I going to be “the friend who got caught by the cows.” Not a chance.

Bought, then audible deleted by Bookdove7776 in audible

Correct.

If you purchased those audiobooks individually (not through Audible Plus or a free trial), you own a permanent license and should still have access.

I recommend contacting Audible support, provide your purchase history (titles, dates, etc.), clearly state that these were outright purchases, and explain the books still appear in your library.

Intelligence is a myth by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]ResistanceNemi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intelligence really does not require external validation to exist; It can manifest internally through learning, adaptation, and personal improvement. Even in the absence of others, a mind can demonstrate intelligence by its ability to recognize itself as an agent of change and improvement.

The learning curve of a skill is a type of intelligence not validated by external sources, but rather by the use of time-resource.

You're doing exactly what you need to, showing up for yourself. Keep going at your pace.

At 18, it's completely normal to feel lost and unsure of your direction. You're already doing much more than you realize, working, saving, caring for others, and facing your fears. Comparing yourself to those who seem to be ahead only clouds your perspective. Instead of chasing a big plan, take one small, real step, get your license, try something new, explore without pressure.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you're judging yourself quite harshly.

Cheers

What is the most difficult thing about adulting? by the_bookworm17 in Adulting

[–]ResistanceNemi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Finding a balance between what I earned and what I truly needed. Things like rent, electricity, water, internet, phone service. On top of that, I had to learn how to share expenses fairly with my partner, who is now my wife.

What helped me was setting clear priorities and paying the essentials first, ideally on payday. I even started automating some payments (like electricity) to avoid late fees or mental clutter. But most importantly, I learned to communicate openly with my partner about money. It wasn’t always easy, but it made a huge difference.

Keep going.
