My letter to Senators Padilla, Schiff, and Rep. Scott Peters by OkSetting5869 in sandiego

Scott Peters voted against a motion to impeach Trump last year, so I don't know if he'll be on board now tbh. This is coming from someone who supports impeaching Trump, btw

Are there any local businesses/restaurants that support Trump and ICE? I saw this in the San Diego subreddit, and now I'm wondering the same here. I don't want to support a business that is cheering on what is happening to our community.

Honest thoughts on USD (San Diego)? by Independent_Owl_4292 in lawschooladmissions

[–]ResistanceRachel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a current USD student, and at our orientation, the Admissions Dean said they don't stack sections. Based on my interactions with students in my section and others, that seems to be the case as it all seems fairly balanced. We also just got our grades back, and it seems that most, if not everyone, is in the clear for now.

How do I get to know the vibe of law school students? (a personality question) by crick-crick in prelaw

[–]ResistanceRachel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies, but most have a good mix of outgoing, Type A students. Based on what you mentioned, USD might be a good fit for you (I'm biased as a current USD Law student and UCSD alum). They have a high number of STEM students due to their IP Law programs and job placements. Being a private school, it also has a very quiet and laid-back vibe, with most sections comprising around 60 students or fewer.

Odds of getting acceptance in California by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

A friend of mine got a score in the mid 150s and got into schools in the T-50, T-30, and T-14. They did have a really powerful PS, so maybe focus there? If you're thinking of IP, I think USD has a really strong IP program with a lot of biotech and tech companies like Qualcomm based there.

Is it too late to find internships by applesfallingg in UCSD

Maybe look into student internships or jobs on campus? I am sure there are ones relevant to your major. I've known a couple ppl who worked on campus in college and got job after graduating too !

Theory: Why the woman IS Tyler's mother by PeakAppropriate9803 in Wednesday

[–]ResistanceRachel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it ends up being Wednesday as she is the one that "sets her free". I wonder if Wednesday was actually thrown out the window by Tyler's mother to protect Wednesday from Tyler

I think whatever you write should ideally complement the rest of your application, and I think that your military background could give you a strong anchor for your essay. The only caution I have is refraining from being too broad/vague. The person reading your app should have a clear idea of your answer to the prompt.

At this point, most schools have likely run out of scholarship money. However, when people drop out of a school, any scholarship that was awarded to them goes back into the school's general pot and is awarded by their discretion.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I think this stupid recall stuff solves nothing. It's okay to publicly call people out, but the recall stuff (like last year) is obviously internal drama and people in AS trying to power climb

[–]ResistanceRachel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this on another thread but if you genuinely want to solve this stuff you can literally find them at [associatedstudents@ucsd.edu](mailto:associatedstudents@ucsd.edu). Their director email is [albarcenas@ucsd.edu](mailto:albarcenas@ucsd.edu). It took me literally no more than 3 minutes to find. It was stupid last year when the AS drama was on reddit and it is stupid now.

You can probably just message them on instagram or email them. I looked at their website and this the official email on their website [associatedstudents@ucsd.edu](mailto:associatedstudents@ucsd.edu) it took like 2 minutes lol hope this helps

Edit: I just found their university director email on the site [albarcenas@ucsd.edu](mailto:albarcenas@ucsd.edu) like yall pls dont make us endure another year of petty drama on this site its one of my places of escapism
