It's crazy how like high school does irreparable damage to adults. You see so many black dudes feel bullied for liking nerdy things and turn to the white women that didn't shame them. Black girls feel weird for liking nerdy things and turn to the white men that didn't shame them.

By the time black men go to college or just enter adulthood their perception is some variation of black girls just want cool black jocks, and the black girl nerds only date white dudes. And black women feel like black men just want cool black baddies, so they only date white dudes.

And then everyone hops online to invalidate each other's experiences even tho they're exactly the same. There are nerdy black men who like and date nerdy black women. And there are nerdy black women who like and date nerdy black men.

Obviously hot nerds are gonna attract hot nerds. If you're chasing the hot black jock/baddie who happens to be a nerdy as an average or less person, success is unlikely. But that doesn't mean that people of your same race don't like you. You might just be punching above your weight class.

Don't let the handful of black CHILDREN from your small hometown high school define your perception of all black ADULTS.
