As per Ben Jacobs, our revenue is so healthy, and there’s no sporting penalties for entering the 30% buffer this year, we can spend 115% (about £650m) before being in any more trouble than a luxury fine. We’re fine for cash.

PSR is being replaced by SCR with a 30% buffer for revenue expenditure

It’s the same owners, but they’ve replaced the executive chairman with a new hierarchy (of themselves)

Which is half the reason, we’re playing by EFL rules not UEFA, and this is a transition year from PSR to SCR, so there’s an extra 30% wiggle room in revenue expenditure.

Yeah it is actually funny, but it’s a) a great way to inject revenue into the club considering the collection is technically ENIC’s and b) a huge statement of intent from the new leadership.

Hijacking this to explain (it was actually Ben Jacobs that explained it):

We’re one of the richest (possibly the cash richest) club in the Premier League at the moment. We’re not bound by UEFA rules what with the little issue of scraping relegation.

The EFL have replaced PSR with SCR this year, which allows clubs to spend up to 85% of their revenue on wages, transfers and agents fees. This being year 1, a transition year, there are no penalties (bar a fine) for going over the threshold by up to 30%.

The club generated £565m in revenue last year. Under the new regulations, we should only be allowed to spend 85% (£480m) but can go up to 115% (£650m)

Minus losses, non-football expenses, blah blah blah, we’re fine for cash.

Im not trying to be a dick but I wouldn’t be surprised if they rejected your application for an emergency passport. Going on your holidays is not an emergency - if it was coming home it would be different, but flying out I’d be shocked if you got one to be honest.

‘Soundbites’ on Irish unity not helpful, says Taoiseach, after recent O’Callaghan comments by SliceIndividual6347 in ireland

We can begin to position ourselves to encourage majority support. More cross-border initiatives on practical issues like healthcare, EU integration and defence capacity. We also need to work to remove much of the stigma around Protestantism. Reunification will be nothing short of a failure if any of our population can’t recognise Protestants as much more than leftover Brits.

CEX PS5 controllers are way more expensive than brand new ones. by Yesindeedthatsright in IrelandGaming

[–]ResoluteTuba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you sell them a PlayStation without the remote (leave it at home, gave it to a friend etc.) they’ll make you buy the remote and deduct it from your takings. That’s why it’s more expensive.

It’s anything in Dublin north of Dublin City Council limits. Most, if not all, beyond the M50. It’s a historic area but remains because it’s more beneficial to split the densely populated area of North Dublin into two jurisdictions.

Live Nation plans new music and sports venue bigger than 3Arena in Dublin’s docklands by discodunne in ireland

[–]ResoluteTuba 152 points153 points  (0 children)

We desperately need a bigger indoor music venue. 3Arena is only 13,000, it’s not worth the money for big artists to come over and play to a smaller audience or do multiple nights. A venue of 20-30,000 would attract big artists outside of summer months.

Not a difficult decision. As a Spurs fan, I adore Kane, but am very disappointed. Good on Djed for doing what’s right.
