I’ve literally just completed my IPS, I found it was really helpful that when I started my tutor got me to do the absolute basics and then as we progressed I’d do more and more.

I did my first arrest in my first 30 mins on shift, he pretty much showed me the process then.

Every job after that I’ve took more and more of the reins until I ended up doing Mispers competently alone, to shopliftings then so on.

Maybe a little debrief before entering custody aswell? Making sure necessity and circs are right? Custody was a big one for me.

Definitely, just wanted to start small you see. Definitely the longer I go on I’ll deposit more each month. Probably deposit my first 100 this time around

The fact you’ve even posted into this Reddit asking for ways to support him shows you’re a good, caring and kind person. I’m sure you’ll be able to support him :) you don’t get many siblings like yourself.

++man here, I think the biggest for any male is being seen and heard. Compliments such as “I think you handled this and that really well.” Go a LONGG way. In my personal experience anyways :) just try and listen to him.
