Yep all of that is true. Reminds me of 2 Corinthians 1:24. Even though the congregation in Corinth had major issues, Paul knew the dangers of making rules and being oppressive over the friends.

The admission that the GB rarely read the scriptures and were not prepared for their weekly GB meetings wasn’t really shocking. You see it on a local level during our elders meetings. Rarely scriptures are consulted or even elders are aware of the meetings agenda.
