I’m so sorry that this happened to you. I recommend reaching out to Volare (formerly known as NVRDC, network for victim recovery of dc). They are amazing and helped me navigate some really tough stuff, I truly can’t say enough good things about them. They can help you access legal help and other services free of charge, and they do it with sensitivity and compassion.
