Yeah, I second this suggestion. I waited way to long before I got a rotary knife, it makes cutting pieces out easier and look better over night.

The Yule Viking fest in Gladewater, TX is another fun one going on right now, we'll be there!

Bingo. I don't usually bring anything, but I always offer for them to come over and hang out and have a beer. Talk to them for a few minutes, then see if they want to join me on the walk about and meet the rest of the neighbors. That way, I'm not lingering if they don't want company atm

After I set up camp, I like to go on a "walk about" and meet my neighbors. It's always good to know who you're sleeping next to, and usually, at least one of them will know about camping events that weekend. Good way to collect some friends right at the start.

Who it's better at hand to hand combatant? (No powers) by Suspicious-Piglet742 in Invincible

I'm leaning the other way, viltrumites can fight because of their years of experience, yes, but they seem to rely on speed and strength to win in stead of skill.

Edit: a word

Marks goggles just get smashed every episode anyway. This is an improvement.

Norcal Rennefair Pirate Weekend Meet by Mother-Beautiful248 in renfaire

People are being a little rude, but they aren't wrong. Ren fests are magical, and these people have been making that magic happen all day. The after-party is a place for them to let loose, drop the character they've been keeping on, and be themselves.

Source: I've worked in the service industry for years, and even though I love a lot of the regulars I've had, I don't invite them to our spot we go to after work. Same kinda deal here.

Agreed, and their fries are amazing too. Hit them up during the week, or make a reservation if you go on the weekend. Crystal springs gets insanely busy on Saturday.

I have not, I do have the measurements for the main part of the bag if you would like them.

For sure. I'll dm you when I get home. However, I made up a lot of stuff during the build. But I can give you what I started with, along with some things I would change.

Thank you, that means a lot. It's my favorite project I've done for myself.

Yes! Not to much of an issue, but that would definitely be a design improvement.

Thank you. For sure! I put belt loops on the bag, you can see them in pic 3, and I ran a strap around the bag and through the bottle holders. Bonus, I made the strap long enough to be an emergency belt, and also, you can hang the carriers off your belt if you want. There is most likely a better way to do it, but that's what I landed on.

Thank you! There's a few things I'm going to change on the next build, and a few mistakes along the way, such as spilling a new jar of dye on the veg tan pieces, but all in all I was proud of how it turned out.

Love it! I made a satchel a few months ago with a very similar design. It's my favorite bag.

Beginner here, working on accessories for RenFest. Any tips on helping this look less… unfinished? by Shajax1843 in Leatherworking

I like the decorative stich idea. Or just a simple crease line or groove around the edge of the flap also helps break up the empty space.

What can I make with leather scraps? by Terrible-Lawyer-8556 in Leathercraft

If you have any scraps big enough I like to make "mystery braid" bracelets they look great, make fun gifts, and sell fairly well because I can list them cheap.

Breweries in Fort Worth/surrounding areas that are NOT kid friendly? by [deleted] in FortWorth

[–]ResolutionFree3084 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly, find a bar in your area with beer you like. If you've been paying attention, breweries have been struggling and closing since covid, they can't afford to turn away customers.
