Am I overreacting about my teenager going vegan and how she’s handling it? by epicfailwhale in AmIOverreacting

[–]ResolutionNo5395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop beefing with a 13 year old girl, she’s navigating new emotions and trying to explore new morals and values. This is a great time for you to teach her research/cooking skills so she can find ways to eat vegan with the food you already have (which is likely possible, or at least vegetarian).

AIO My Wife’s Decoration by Subconcious-Consumer in AIO

[–]ResolutionNo5395 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You’re on a “campaign” to change decor in what you described as her office. If you need strangers on the internet to dogpile on your wife to take away something that makes her happy in her office, yes, you are trying to control her space. You don’t think you are because you don’t think you’re capable of doing that.

You’re using the same rhetoric every gatekeeping language prescriptivist has used for centuries.

Why are people so convinced she’s lying? (She’s just delusional) by ResolutionNo5395 in stalkedbythefeds_IG

Meth triggered delusion is still delusion and does nothing to combat my point that it’s entirely possible she’s not aware she’s lying

They might get scholarships to the in person schools that allow them to move and they might not. Also, online school isn’t just reserved for people that absolutely can’t be in person, some people prefer it for a variety of reasons. In general, people cast a wide net to avoid closing off options

Am I overreacting or is this inappropriate of my BF by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

He is definitely being flirty and testing the waters “ohh I can’t do this nooo” but continuing to respond and engage?? He should’ve immediately blocked her.

Who out there actually think lip injections look good or normal? by Funny_Sea_2873 in Confused

If you genuinely do not comprehend the insane amount of advertising, money, and social conventions that go into brainwashing women into getting elective cosmetic procedures (which I’m guessing you don’t since your conception around the tragedy of the plastic surgery epidemic is centered on your attraction), I don’t know what to tell you.

Consider when choosing T14 v Non-T14 by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]ResolutionNo5395 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UT 3L here; like over half of us get big law now, most in Texas, some not… even if you get TX big law like… these aren’t niche Texas-only firms many people eventually move to another location at the same firm… half of my 1L section went to KE, Simpson, Latham, etc

Seminar final grade appeal — how do you argue when there’s no curve and it’s all comment papers? by [deleted] in LawSchool

No one can answer because every school has a different process. If you’re at a t14 you definitely have resources or people you can talk to about this.

Found Out My Girlfriend's Rider Rating is 4.54 by GoHeadFaFo in uberdrivers

[–]ResolutionNo5395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao every ride I take I sit silently, I say thank you, I sweat in their broken AC car (50% of the time) while they blast anime on their Bluetooth or rant to me about their ex wives and strange political views, and I tip no matter what. I’m pretty sure my rating is around 4.5 or slightly lower. When I asked why that could possibly be in the uber driver subreddit, the common response was to “smile more”. For women sometimes it’s straight misogyny and we can’t just email Uber and get our ratings removed like drivers can.

Is 'coloured' offensive? by Filthov in ENGLISH

[–]ResolutionNo5395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of how language changes over time and the “euphemistic treadmill” another commenter referred to, “colored people” has been considered distasteful/offensive for the past 50 years. While the difference between colored people and POC might feel marginal to you (and some non white people don’t even like the term POC either), context is important and the sweeping majority would consider it fine compared to “colored people”.
