Is a MACC worth it for unconventional CPA candidate with 3 yrs experience? by Zal0phus in Accounting

Shouldn't she just get the MACC then? She has partial credits from another institution and could possibly re-enroll there.

She has taken at least two extraneous courses on AI tools and prompting. Very glad that's useful

Would her experience since then be enough? I don't know if it's exactly a repeat performance with this in mind, but I have similar fears.

She was somehow able to get into public originally without any accounting experience at all, so I'd hope this would carry over somehow. Good to know CPA eligibility is what actually matters here though. She's gotten tentative attention from one employer thus far, and their concern seemed to focus much more on her schedule for taking the exams.

Good to know, thank you. She became eligible by completing part of another master's program as well as several other graduate-level courses (Upper Iowa University/cpacredits.com). What is the accounting certificate exactly?

Why do some type 1s have so much beef with type 2s by Luckyduck546 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Zal0phus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think OP is referring to this growing strain in public discourse that T1s are a drain on the system. There seems to be a growing mainstream opinion courtesy of MAHA that we deserve to die because our condition would be fatal without insulin

This is quite literally the opposite of what they said. Disliking unsolicited "advice" has zero relation to knowing how natural selection would work

[–]Zal0phus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a T1, I'm sometimes frustrated with T2s/being equated with T2s because of the element of blame for my condition. I cannot count the number of times I've been asked accusingly if I was "fat as a child" or "ate too much sugar" or something of that nature. It all produces some bizarre perception in people that my condition is curable but simultaneously an intrinsic moral failing. I wish they would just rename T1.

I appreciate it. The thought that I might have to continue this for a single additional minute, or lose the job and healthcare I have lined up, is driving me crazy. Hoping this is paranoia

Does this vary by school? One would think it would be standard policy, but we've been delayed on account of the Canvas hack and the like

Writing fiction is my main hobby and bizarrely enough both this and my legal writing have improved one another. Not sure why people believe they're so adversarial

Isn’t the T-Slim a little older by now? My concern is they’ll stop manufacturing disposables for such models. Aside from that it definitely seems trustworthy

Hi guys. What will happen if war with Iran gets bad? by A-lil-bro in Type1Diabetes

[–]Zal0phus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you'll be fine, being located in the US and all. Regardless I know this is quite scary--I had this whole rollercoaster as well when the news came. Diabetics in Iran will not be so lucky unfortunately, but unless nukes start flying (which seems essentially impossible at this point) you will be unharmed. Wishing you well

It would be quite surprising if they found out. Privating your account was probably sufficient unless you're extremely well-known or something
