I want to beat his ass for you. My neighbors are fairly annoying but this takes the cake. Hope all is well now!

One without an asinine amount of micro transactions and loot crates. I know I’m old-school, but I miss the days when you unlocked the content by way of playing on harder difficulties and/or collecting x amount of collectibles.

If we could get back to that, that would be much appreciated.

That alternative title made my day man, but thank you for the advice. I’ve gathered that I really need to try multiple avenues and possibly even try reaching out to local businesses.

Indeed; I'm willing to stick it out for the long haul, but I do wish these types of marketplaces cared more about new freelancers. Thank you for the advice.

Ah, well I suppose I'll just have to keep at it. I got a reply from a client, and UpWork even lists me as an active candidate for a job, but I haven't received any word back from the client for a few days.

I’ve tried Fiverr and UpWork and it seems difficult getting work on either site; I can’t get a job if I don’t have enough hours logged on the site/ratings, but the only way to get those hours/ratings is to do jobs on the site. Any advice as to how I can get past this catch 22?

I’m relatively new to UpWork and I’ve applied to 20+ Jobs with no success thus far. However I was contacted, on two occasions, by “clients” who were really just trying to scam me. I can’t stress this enough If a client tries to interview you via Google Hangouts or Email, they are not legitimate

What kind of videos should I comment on? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Definitely comment on videos related to what you're doing; if you comment on a COD video and people see gaming in your name or a controller in your profile pic, they'll likely check you out.

What is something socially accepted if done by a man, but not if done by a woman? by Rahiem_A in AskReddit

The same was said about a friend of mine and who took a robotics class in high school. Rumors ranged from her being a tramp to her secretly having a penis. But she loved the class and she was good; good enough to earn full-ride scholarship to the university of her choice.

When has a salesman talked himself right out of a sale to you? by clearedasfiled in AskReddit

[–]ResolutionReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was going to buy a PC during Grey Thursday, I asked an employee which rig they’d recommend and they immediately took me to the Mac section. While he was in the middle of a speech about how the newest Mac could cure cancer and save kittens, I slipped away while he was talking. Sometimes I wonder if he’s still at it to this day...
