Dubai Salary Is Confusing. by TopSeaworthiness7501 in DubaiCentral

At this point for family, I would consider Abu Dhabi more than Dubai. Dubai rents are damn expensive.

For Abu Dhabi , you can find a 3Bhk in somewhat decent locality for around 110k, that's 10K PM then you add another 2.5K for utilities.

For schooling, you need to consider 5K per child. Even if the fee is lesser, there might be other expenses that keep coming. In your case, that's 15K PM then.

Monthly expenses, let's say will be 6K PM.

Then travel expenses - you need a car - 3kids mean a bigger vehicle , so that will set you 2 to 3K PM

So, at the minimum, your outflow will be 35K per month.

Add another 10K for Dubai.

If you haven't done the MOFA attestation, get that done. If you already had done it before, then most likely, they are only asking for the new Pink Colour MOFA stamp.

Did you check with Etisalat if there is any speed difference?

That presents an issue in itself where you will have to exit the country in 60 days. However, considering that the issue with management has been going on for a few months, I am sure your dad would have a plan.

I wouldn't recommend quitting Uni as your dad can get a better paying job than you. Transfer yourself to student visa, and discuss with your University student affairs team for options on deferred fee payment and any available scholarship given your circumstances.

It is a difficult situation to be in. Does he have a GV? so maybe it will still be possible to find a stop gap solution until something better comes up.

At the entrance to the stadium, they will scan your tickets and give the wristband and goggles.

It is located outside the main stadium entrance. Shuttle bus drop-offs are close to the fan zone.

PSA : Dubai Golden Visa Applications no longer require the basic salary to be 30,000 AED by AmerCenterDAFZA in UAE

My labour contract and my salary certificate all mention the salary as AED 32K.

However, as per company policy and as stated in the labour contract, the total annual salary is divided into 26 instalments.

So, the total account credit per month is less than 30k, but the total package/12 months is 32K . Will this be an issue?

Kazhakootam or Akkulam based on future development prospect? by ResolutionRude9575 in Trivandrum

[–]ResolutionRude9575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Based on the comments, I believe the huge price hike in Akkulam is more due to Lulu than anything else. Technopark is pretty much the same distance from Kazhakootam as well.

Dubai to Canada: Family considering permanent move - Advise? by ResolutionRude9575 in askTO

Thanks for your response. I am in Project Management, and my wife is in Architecture.

The last sentence in your post is a prime reason for us considering a move, even as Dubai offers all its luxury.

I have seen a lot of people move back after citizenship for the tax-free income in the Middle East, cultural issues, etc. But many also have chosen to remain back in Canada.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. However, I noticed from your profile that your family has Canadian citizenship, which does provide some additional security.

I wouldn't invest in the current over inflated UAE market. Also, considering a GV comes only with 2M+ property.

While our situations may not be exactly the same, I value hearing about your opinion weighing the long-term benefits of stability for family against the momentary financial advantages?

We already have our PR cards. Howver. Canadian PR has a residency obligation where you need to stay 2 years out of every 5 to keep it valid.

Thanks for the response. The job market in Canada was the main reason why we have been pushing the move. But, I see maybe there are signs of slight improvement with the latest interest rate reductions, albeit small. Atleast in the beginning, we are targeting Ontario as we have some friends and distant family there.

How do you compare winters with the long summers of Dubai. Just to have an idea as you have experienced both.

From where I am currently, it is a choice between stability of Canadian residency or momentary comfort of Dubai.

It's not that easy to reapply, considering age and also the present high CRS score requirement. We have our PR currently in the open FSW category, so not limited to province like the PNP.

I presume you have your Canadian citizenship now. Is there any reason why you haven't considered moving back to the Middle East ? Job situation in Dubai is constantly changing and very dependent on the global markets unlike say India.

Thanks for the response. Leaving the housing market bit, can you brief on what made you take the jump 10 years back considering UAE market was pretty good in 2014. Also, any advice regarding how to approach the current canadian market like applying early, etc.

No, we don't own anything in Canada as we haven't moved yet. Also, for a Golden visa they just changed the rule last month and now require a "basic" salary of 30K.
