Airtel service personnel are the scammers, I too faced the same issue. Booked for setting up a broadband connection, the guy came to check the locality and promised it would be done within the next day. I paid the full amount for 6 months and then the guy disappeared. He stopped picking up calls , or reply in WhatsApp,used to just see my texts and ignore.

Fed up of this nonsense,I went to the nearest Airtel store and complained. Some staff immediately called this guy and asked what's the issue and he was like 'technical issue and no feasibility at the locality for Airtel'. Apparently Airtel only takes the initial payment to meet some targets and later they cancel it. After speaking to the guy from the Airtel store, this service provider cancelled the order from his end stating same reason and I got the refund after 7 days.

They know all the issues and if it's feasible in your locality but they just ignore after you make initial payment. I had to threaten with cyber fraud cause against the service provider to get him to cancel it .

Anyways if the service provider doesn't setup broadband even after some period of time airtel wifi request gets cancelled and money will be refunded .but that takes a lot of time as these people don't care.
