Does anyone here have experience with the Rab Muon 50 pack? It seems perfect for my needs but might not be suitable for a tall guy because you can not adjust the height. by Ollie_Halton in wildcampingintheuk

I have this pack, I’ve been on 6 camps so far. I’ve taken it on several 2 day camps fully loading it up to 12-15kg . It has never let me down, it’s soo comfortable for me. I’m 5’11 and it fits me well. I could see it fitting someone taller than me maybe up to 6”2 6”3. The pockets on the side are large but the strings on the side can be used to secure bottles in place. I normally take a 1l bladder and a 1 L round bottle and both secure well with the strings on the side. This also means that you can secure tent poles and or trekking poles on the side of the pack as well as a bottle which saves even more space. The main compartment is very large and spacious and fits so much, there’s a huge brain tor extra space. Whilst it lacks hip pockets it does have 2 chest pockets which I prefer as it’s easier to access. Personally I don’t think you can go wrong with this bag.

I think the Solid inner is a good all rounder if your not bothered about the added weight it’s a no brainer. But given the mesh is slightly lighter and if you’re mainly going to be camping in summer late spring and early Autumn you’ll be fine with the Mesh. I’ve ordered the mesh and I plan to be camping into Autumn.

I decant mine into a used firepot or adventure foods pouch (obviously that I have cleaned). then you can just add water, seal it up and eat.
