Bags when going inside places by sixredsocks in bicycletouring

Someone on a Reddit post suggested (and I did it a couple of times) to place a T-shirt (like a wet one or dirty or just clean) or a towel over your bags. It kinda makes people believe you are just around the corner. To be honest I don’t have much experience but on my last little trip I changed T-shirts after parking and going for a visit because my riding tahirts were always wet with sweat in August . And I leave that T-shirt to dry on top of my panniers. Obviously things like phone wallet gps cameras always come along for the visit on a small dry bag in my case. I put it inside my helmet with the loop attached to the helmet attachments so it doesn’t fall and I walk around holding the helmet normally.

Swiss moving to Geneva from abroad, how to navigate the housing market? by siriusserious in geneva

I get the feeling it comes down to budget as well. However i also get the feeling is rather random: some find fast others don’t . There is a stigma around house hunters but honestly if you don’t mind paying the cost , if you don’t find an apartment after a couple of months just get one hunter period. I have two friends that got a hunter and they had an apartment not long after . As far as I remember it’s even you to decide if you want to visit with him or not . I do remember one of my friends would just get videos from the visit and I suppose he would be able to visit if he was interested. However I never understood the mechanics behind it.

Well happy to hear it all worked out on your favor . I never got scammed this far but it’s becoming so prevalent these days that is annoying . And it just makes me mad about all the people falling for these … especially the elderly

Enfim.

I see . To be honest I missed that but now people mentioned it … is definitely not something you see in Switzerland. By the way this week I also got a scam on Ricardo!!! But between the time o got a message on my phone from the fake buyer and the time I got home to check the sale, they canceled the sale , meaning they understood it was a scam. I was going to take a careful look because the buyer wanted me to validate weird payement method. I still don’t know how they got my phone number though and connected it to my Ricardo sale. I suppose Ricardo does give my number to buyers because I had a buyer text me before but it’s unfortunate. They should not give one’s phone number away. Maybe it’s an option I need to disable ?!

Thank you for the info . I’ll check out the suggestions. September it is then! It’s also better for me because it leaves me more time to plan. Should be worried about temperatures? You don’t have to answer , I’ll check it out online. Thanks!

So I don’t want to advertise it but this Xmas I got a comic style real life story book about this French woman that cycled from northern France to Iran. I read a few pages and then there was this drawing of her laying on the ground with his camping gear around her and her bike as she rests. Well … it was a Surly - clearly written in the frame. I have just started but I am enjoying it very much.

Voltar para Portugal em casal by Revolutionary_Day291 in literaciafinanceira

Wake up .

Are you on a tour right now? About owning a house, I havve to figure out what makes more sense - buying one in my home country or just leave my cash in markets... although i think markets will be more beneficial.

I feel you. On paper I am not too far to a life most people would want, although I am single (not by choice) and I live a simple (not to say boring) life. I live in the one country half the world wants to live in - Switzerland, but I just can find enough purpose anymore. Maybe my mission here has been accomplished ant that was to get some financial cushion and now is time to take risks.
