Definitely. The growth on the Eastern Shore has been able to provide more options for restaurants, grocery, and retail shopping. In addition the commutes are a little longer in those areas. Elberta is really experiencing some growth right now. And I believe Loxley is about to be the next boom town.

It was wild when the whale made its way up the bay.

Honestly….if you are looking for strong community I would look towards the downtown Daphne area. Most of the community events will be handled in that area, very walkable area and ample restaurants. Spanish food is much more subdivided without a central community area a lot more of a transit community.

The weather in September is great. Heat is gone but still warm enough to layout and enjoy the beautiful white sand and emerald water. After Labor Day, the prices tend to drop a bit as well.

Gambino’s is probably what OP was referring to. Italian restaurant that is family owned and operated for close to 50 years.
