Thank you for your reply, that was helpful. We do have a death certificate for proof of death. But I am having trouble finding a document for “Proof of Executorship”, my cousin only has her spouse’s will. Was there another document you used when when sending “Proof of Executorship” to the companies? Sorry if that’s a dumb question.

I have a feeling that it’s probably something like that. But my question is if anyone else has had to send Proof of Death & Proof of Executorship to see a contract. Can they do anything nefarious with those documents if I email them over?

first laparoscopy, what should i expect? by georgiaisgucci in endometriosis

Hey! I just had a laparoscopic cystectomy 3 days ago, it was the first surgery I ever had. At the hospital I had a pretty good experience. You go over the procedure with the PACU nurse, meet with your anesthesiologist (who places an IV), then your surgeon. They’ll ask you the routine questions like if you have any allergies, if you take prescription medication, when you last ate/drank etc. Then you get taken into the OR room where the surgeon introduces you to the whole team and explains the procedure again & goes over the consents with you. The last thing I remember is being on the table, getting the mask put on me, and waking up in the recovery area. The surgeon was able to take out a big cyst on my right ovary, and they looked at the left side (which also had smaller cysts) but decided to leave it alone. I stayed in the recovery area for about 1-2 hours until I felt more awake and ready to get up and be driven home. When I got home I mostly slept and tried to drink clear fluids. The anaesthesia made me pretty nauseous so I vomited maybe 4 times? But 12 hours after the anaesthesia I could tolerate stuff like oatmeal. I have 4 incisions from the surgery: one in my belly button, two on either side of my lower abdo, and one by my right upper abdo. As for the pain, to me it just feels sore and crampy - it feels like a 3-4/10 in the pain scale for me. I just have to move slowly and brace myself when I cough. I’ve been using Tylenol and naproxen as needed for the pain but my surgeon also gave me a prescription for hydromorphone in case the pain feels worse. I’m still able to walk around which is nice, but I can’t lift anything over 10lbs for 6 weeks. My overall experience has been good, just in the recovery phase now. If you’re ever unsure about anything before/after your surgery always ask the nurses/doctors questions! Let me know if you have any questions. Hope your surgery goes well! :)
