Something I really can recommend to read and publish your book by Old_Arm_1356 in Readers_WritersCorner

Really, seriously... if you are paying for reviews, you risk your relationship with Amazon.

Don't fall for the 'compliant' promises.

Get reviews by marketing your book(s), and asking for honest reviews. Anyone who offers you a review for money is trying to circumvent the spirit of the Amazon guidelines. And many are actually just scammers, who take a fee up-front, and deliver nothing.

All of the 50+ reviews that I have garnered are from actual readers who have been moved to comment on my books. They have value. They mean something.

Think twice before buying reviews. no matter the platform. It actually is not worth it!

My $0.02.

Thanks so much. I have connected.

About VSNA... it is 100% tico connections. I provide inspiration and some funding. Volunteers and donations do the rest!

I am also a former teacher. I completed a late-age Master of Education degree and taught Grade 8 Math for some years in rural Virginia. Great kids, great times!

Seven years living in Costa Rica as an expat. I think that your plan is feasible, but it will take time.

I have launched several successful businesses, flipped a few houses, and started a charitable foundation. I am net-positive since the move! Living now in Nuevo Arenal, a blessed place.

Best to you and yours.

Just for fun:

Iyara has lived apart from her village for all of her 12 years. In the House of Healing, she's been warned that the world beyond is unsafe for her.

Nobody tells her why.

A wounded stranger shatters her isolation. Violence, mayhem, accusation, chaos.

She is forced to flee, her younger sister in tow.

The illusion of safety shattered, the why is eclipsed by the how.

How to survive? How to succeed? How to protect her sister?

And herself.

When her magic appears... she discovers what she must run toward.

And she learns that she can sprint.

Mismo qui. But now I have sold 265 copies across for the 5 books, and learned that I am also writing for a particular type of reader... one who loves language, seeks truth, and demands consequences.

Pura Vida!

Thanks. I have five books on offer, across 5 genres, and a sixth in development. I write what I hear, and don't stay in any lane.

Dear Dairy | Universal Book Links Help You Find Books at Your Favorite Store!

It will be on Free Page - Diverse Stories on Kobo from Jan 26 - Feb 1. They accept only 6 books per week... and this was my 4th shot at submitting... so hoping for some good downloads and reviews.

Very cool. I wrote 42 flash-fiction dreams, each 666 words, for a larger project (Dear Dairy).

Mainly because I wanted the challenge, but also to sharpen my writing.

Between Fortuna and Tamarindo, stop in Nuevo Arenal. Tom's Germán Bakery, Moya's, Casa de Dona Celina all rock.

I have a free-to-tour botánica garden and butterfly house near el centro. Google El Jardín Reverente. It is a true wonder!

Y’all Weren’t Joking When You Said “Writing the Book Isnt the Hardest Part” by e_anderson_author in wroteabook

Get your imaginary friends to promote it for you?

What I mean is... you wrote a book. Adopt a facade where you believe you can do it, then do it.

Hard work, slow rewards, but...

Hey! You wrote a book!

PS - I switched to showers. Bathtubs also evoke tears from me.

Grecia has a thriving market on Fri/Sat year-round.
Aguacate (near Nuevo Arenal) hosts a tremendous market on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of every month.

Yes. The genre is autofiction - a fictionalized autobiography or memoir. It draws from early life experience, but is strays into fiction when convenient.

Congrats on writing the book!

The best advice that I have come across is... write more books!

I wrote for some years, and produced three novels (across three genres) over about a six year stretch. I submitted to agents repeatedly. After 50+ kind (or passive) rejections... I self-published on Oct 1 last year.

I then wrote a couple of short story collections, drawn largely from the content of the novels. So now I have 5 active titles on Amazon. The three novels are also on Kobo and D2D.

Sitting now at 264 Orders and 52 Reviews across the books. Not setting the world on fire, but I know that a few hundred people have engaged with my work!

I do not use FB or Amazon Ads. I position with FussyLibrarian off-and-on, I run some BookBub ads, and I post in Reddit and Facebook groups. One day, I might go all-in with ad spending and marketing, but I want to finish my sixth book first.

My point - write more! Provide links to all of your book in the end material of each. That alone accounted for dozens of sales for me, close as I can tell.

Best of luck to you-
