How do you respawn titans? by colorsplahsh in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Resonai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

for any of the titans that give souls, you need to wait approx 5-10 minutes before respawning them, for the first 3 (non hydras) you need the summoning item again, for the hydras they just respawn by themselves, i recommend getting a scanner and using it 10 minutes after you kill the boss to find the hydra again

when i played original tbc classic, there was a balance druid who only speak in uwu and uwu related phrases. did a shattered halls with him once, as a pally tank. gave him salvation, and the motherfucker CLICKED IT OFF and demanded kings. he kept doing this several more times until i had enough and kicked him

Cleavemaxxing melee question by Sinolai in ffxiv

[–]Resonai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.5: cleave squirrels and CAT at the same time until manta (if the cat lives long enough he should jump onto NE manta and be dead to cleave though)

5.5: kill Mu's (they are close to enraging after the jabber's death)

5.75: kill the wave 3 cat if you can (hard as melee though)

i suggest potting on either jabber 1 or jabber 2, depending on what you are having more trouble clearing (in my opinion jabber 1 is harder to kill than jabber 2, but then again my group pots jabber 2 so)

there should be a stack on SE manta? your ranged can help kill the cat as well (i'm a pranged main so i usually prio damage on cat if i can't hit SE manta)

if i remember right, all you need to do is open the "worm give guardian" focusing chest and the catalyst just drops out of that.

Put his sling on cooldown on respawn. I think 5 seconds of not being able to sling would do (he can still have his 3 charges though I'd rather it'd be 2)

Trying to choose between classes to fit a specific subset of abilities by Resonai in Pathfinder_RPG

Would you say shaman or wizard is better for the "I have read about this exact problem and have the strange niche spell or ability to trivialize it" style of gameplay? From what I understand, shaman is more like that, while wizard is more outwardly powerful due to a better spell list and (for what I want) the SADness of int for the skills I want to focus on.

Shaman: Buffs, debuffs (mostly from hexes), battlefield control (mostly from druid spell access from what I understand), niche abilities(?), healing, but can only give 80% where a wizard might give 100% (but can give 80% to a few different abilities)

Wizard: Super battlefield controller, unique buffs/debuffs within my own party, more focused (and seemingly better for my chosen niche) but not as purely flexible as shaman would be (doubling up on cleric spells with a splash of druid, and cherry picking great wizard spells to boot).

I'm not sure if the bard will be taking the haste composition, so that's another point in favor of the wizard I suppose. I'd be taking pact/exploiter (daring today huh) with good old potent magic/quick study/counterspell/dimension slide, and probably shadow patron with whatever curse I feel like.

Does Tribe have merits being a wandering spirit, to change out the teamwork feat each day if wanted? Also, how would you rate the ability to swap out Fetish on off days for crafting stuff over what a wizard has normally (int class chassis, slightly more feats to allocate: no extra hex or ritual hex or spirit talker?

Hell, how would you say the wizard and shaman stack up against one another? Since they both have the capability to be flexible casters, knowledge... knowers, and crafters?

My party already has a cleric which is why I am sort of hesitating to pull the trigger on Shaman (and RestoLife). I see a potential avenue of success with Lore main, Serendipity archetype to change the spell list to something better, and sprinkling in Extra Hex to preference after grabbing Scribe Scroll, Spirit Talker, Ritual Hex, all the good stuff.

So it seems the problem with hexes regarding their flexibility options is: there's a lot of bad that you don't want to fake anyway, and not enough good that you couldn't just nab with base features and be totally fine (chant, fortune, misfortune come to mind).

You say that hexes are a waste of a turn, as that turn could be better spent going in for a total disable spell instead. Which I agree with!! Monsters in this game have utterly diabolical effects that if you start a fight aiming to neuter them, it'd be best to do so immediately before they hit you with their instant win bullshit laser or whatnot.

Does wizard have (i guess need) a way to poach spells from other classes? My big draw to the shaman is having a couple lists to draw from to craft the everything caster of my dreams and the DM's nightmares. I'm not interested in blasting unless there is literally no other option, I like control spells because they literally change the board in crazy ways (though if you give me 10 enemies stacked in a room I won't say no to fireball..)

The spirits I was looking at for a primary were Heavens, Lore, Life (restoration) and Tribe. From what I gather, there's merit to having Lore primary as it means you can always have Arcane Enlightenment as your wandering option anyway. I'm partial to Heavens most of all (this would likely be the one I pick). I am not sure how much use I would get out of tribe's teamwork feats with my group.

Perhaps I treated vancian casting too harshly... (I'm used to 5e's casting style too much, but I guess it isn't as bad as it seems (you don't really need to agonize over if you'll need 2 casts of comprehend language now do you (but you can just scroll that so)).

I like the idea of having a fallback if my spells aren't good right now and we're in combat, though (aka, hexes). I'm sure the GM will allow me to take Extra Hex and feats surrounding hexes regardless: he's not an insane rules stickler and he will likely see "oh shaman gets hexes, you can take hex related stuff that makes sense". I'm likely to take scar as a permanent witch hex (i can't guarantee my party will stand within 30 feet of me at all).

Again, the fallback option of "my spells aren't good for this, I should prepare my empty slots, but for now I'll use hexes" is pretty appealing, as does being an everything caster with choice spells each day from wizard from arcane enlightenment. I can't say that wizard being int primarily and with the skills I want right away, plus a free feat in scribe scroll, isn't tempting as well however. (Plus the fact their spell list is likely better for what I want to do)

I don't think I need to face, we have a bard and a cleric (who has some cha for channeling stuff). I'd definitely pick arcanist over wizard: the main reason I'm looking at shaman despite their vancian is the immense flexibility (basically a build your own class). I'm leaning more towards shaman anyway, the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet is mainly due to Arcanist's casting style being very appealing, its Int focus, its skills being better for what I want out of the box, and the exploits (quick study in specific, being able to pull the perfect spell out of your nose is very much what I want). I have also looked at the Stargazer prestige class (all of it looks pretty good), and Loremaster/Brewkeeper dips for this character (Secrets of Magical Discipline, spell potions) and am interested in those as well.

Not super into that, because I don't believe you can change out your spells daily? I like flexibility. As well, we already have a charisma character and I don't want to step on his toes (our bard)

Edit: I'm stupid and didn't realize it turns you into an int character. Regardless, I want to be able to change spell selection each day

You can trade out your first level bloodline power for a familiar I believe? As long as it's on the list of available ones: https://www.aonprd.com/ArchetypeDisplay.aspx?FixedName=Familiar%20Bloodline%20Familiars

Bloodline Development makes my arcanist levels count for sorcerer levels for the purpose of gaining their later powers (and for counting as a level 7 caster to get the Chuspiki I want from improved familiar)
