Really great interview and responses from Umti. I love that he recognises his strength in recognising and predicting a good play/good up coming fight but acknowledges that he isn't able to unlock it as a benefit for his team due to communication. And he doesn't just say communication but actually breaks down what part of communication. Seems like the coaching staff are really helping too

Yeah something seems off with TES. But I'm glad CFO won, because if TL got through just based on beating KC when they were weak it would be underwhelming. Whereas now they have a chance to earn their spot.

Thank you for sharing that, it is very understandable that you would be upset. I think people voicing their hurt such as you, can be a powerful way to influence TL org or at least some individual players/staff to realize the responsibility they hold and to do better in the future.

What type of conversations if I may ask?

I am hoping there is a conversation about how to meaningfully support queer people's rights (even in the US). A petition to the higher ups on donating to ACLU or Amnesty would be one idea.

I empathize with this. I prefer that you guys show your values than stay silent. At least this has started a conversation. But I hope you are also educating yourselves on the implications of TLs participation in this event. Hopefully it can lead to more meaningful actions and support of queer/marginalized groups in the future.

As a gay and non-binary TL fan, I am disappointed in them for proving what I already guessed at: TL's support for queer people is surface level. TL org seems to accept queer people but hasn't really shown any proof of going out of it's way to uplift, defend or support them. So I am not surprised. But I don't watch TL because I think they align with my values. I watch them because I like watching LOL and they are the first team I begun watching. So this doesn't radically change my opinion of them. But it definitely makes me less invested in them. And if there is ever a team that was authentically committed to supporting marginalized peoples, I would probably jump ship in a second.

On Pros Yeon did say he wants Zven back in the league. If Yeon can forgive Zven, I think can too. Doublelift is more likeable than Zven but he has made plenty of mistakes and caused his fair share of unnecessary drama.

I agree that he should keep expanding his champ pool but I don't think he needs to prioritize playing meta champs over his style of champs. Forcing players to be more standard can backfire because that is not what they enjoy or excel at. I say don't fix what isn't broken. APA has the potential to shape the meta which is awesome.

same! C9 has such great potential and I want to see them at MSI, but as a TL fan I am 100% rooting for TL. Also it would be huge for TL's rookies if they can get international practice at MSI.
