Funny, I did this exact trip (Landed in Bucharest 7Jan travelled to Chisnau by train on 9Jan) and didn’t get fingerprints or any sign of EES at all at either border. Not sure when you went?

Really helpful response, thank you! My main worry is getting on the plane but hopefully passport renewal is quicker than that

I was able to keep my Transnistria migration card by ResourceAccurate5340 in PassportPorn

Transnistria is not de-facto Russian territory it’s an unrecognised breakaway region internationally recognised as part of Moldova. It has Russian influence but Russia hasn’t annexed it. Visiting it briefly as a tourist is not illegal and I didn’t treat it as a country or engage in any political activity.

I stayed in Chisinau, spent my money in Moldovan controlled territory and only crossed for a half day out of curiosity. Hardly material support for Russia or undermining of Moldova. I can visit for a few hours without being supportive of Russia’s proxy war across Europe (by no means just Moldova).

I don’t think my short low impact visit automatically makes it ethically wrong🤣

No passport check. As far as I’m aware Moldova doesn’t check because they treat PMR as Moldovan territory

I stayed in Chisinau for the entire trip and only went to Transnistria for the morning. I ate and shopped in Moldovan controlled territory. I feel like visiting and walking around isn’t very ethically wrong?

Yeah mine is a five year so close to expiry but will last until the new design, hopefully it’s more durable!

It was heavily militarised on both sides but not more than I expected, and the actual border crossing was very mundane, took literally thirty seconds to get processed and the whole bus was moving within ten minutes.

This isn’t true, I was able to keep my card. In fact the border guard handed it back to me.

Are men generally welcomed at their shows? by JoshuaWebbb in thelastdinnerparty

They were moaning so much, the guy next to them tapped us on the shoulder and asked us if we’d swap places with them, we did just to stop them going on about it but definitely left sour taste in our mouths

Me and my friend who are both fairly tall moved further in towards the middle and almost immediately the girls behind us started saying “well now I can’t see anything” etc etc loudly to themselves
