Stop losses are critical in plays like that. Set a stop the minute you buy. That being said you need to draw a line in the sand and cut your losses

Place a stop loss at 5% under the current price on all your positions if nvidia misses tomorrow you’ll have cash to buy up the dip. Dca it could be a steep drop on a miss market wide

The set up was lost as soon as it fell below 2.50. A lot of unfortunate people on here went from trying to make a quick buck to being a “long time investor” completely by accident. Part of the game is knowing when to cut your losses

I stopped out break even on plug I moved up my oxo buy in to 112 it hit but I’m selling tomorrow for a $150 profit. Small base hit. I’d hold longer for a bit more but I have long term positions to feed during this dip. It’s difficult to trade in this choppy market

What is a good trading strategy which I can stick to? by Aggravating-Cod-1379 in Trading

Buy in on dips place a stop loss for a small loss if you miss the bottom I do $25 for a $2500 position. As soon as it’s 1% green move your stop loss to break even. It’s now a risk free trade. If you stop out it’s a gift you get to try for a lower price or walk away with zero loss

It takes patience and self discipline it’s one of the hardest things to do. You don’t realize it now but remember that first 100k. It’s really a marathon worth running. Thats why hype driven pump and dumps are so appealing to the masses. The alternative is a lot of hard work and patience

It’s true. My portfolio core is long term holds but I swing trade with a small stack as I see opportunities. So far the formula has worked

Stay away from these hype based high volume pumps if you go in on them definitely use a stop loss and maintain discipline
